Fall is my absolute favorite time to decorate. Always has been and I’m pretty sure, always will be. So last year I shared some fall home decorating design boards with you. They were designed to help you find simple ways to add that fall, cozy feeling to your home. And it seems you liked the inspiration!

So I decided to create them again this year. And at the end of this post, I’ll also be sharing some additional fall decorating ideas to inspire you even more. So be sure to check those posts out as well.

Fall Home Decorating Design Boards

Once September hits, I start thinking about decorating for fall. Even though the days have been crazy hot for Colorado – like 101 at 5:30 at night – I still have fall on my brain. That’s how much of a hard-core fall lover I am! 🙂

So I thought no time like the present (as I’m sweating away) to put together some fall home decorating design boards to help me visualize each space ahead of time to see what’ll work together. It also helps me to take inventory of what I already have and limits excess spending. 🙂 You know me, I like to keep my decor simple!

Front Porch Fall Home Decorating Ideas

Last year fall porch was a big leap for me. I decided to go with traditional fall colors and used lots of orange throughout. Well, this year I’ve decided to go back to my neutral loving black and whites. Are you shocked?! I haven’t purchased my mums or pumpkins yet, but this is what I will be looking for this year.

The rug I’ve used for the past has been featured multiple years because I really love it. But I was thinking it’s time to go with a new look. I really fell in love with a combo from my new fall layered doormat ideas. Toss in some pillows and a throw and the porch is fall ready!

Kitchen Fall Home Decorating Ideas

Since I’m going back to my true love – neutral blacks and whites – the kitchen will only get a few updates for fall. I already have a few kitchen accessories with some nice pops of black. But a new vase with some fall dahlias should make a really beautiful touch to this room!

Our new glass canisters are so loved because of their massive size. My flour jar is now ready and prepared for all the fall baking! 🙂 And our striped rug has been great!

Dining Room Fall Home Decorating Ideas

I’m not going to change much in the dining room. Last year I updated the room with a couple of new end chairs – which I would love to replace all the dining chairs with these rolling armchairs – but I’m waiting for a massive sale.

A touch of some classic black accessories and some pretty cream berry bush should make the space look lovely for fall! I already love the visual contrast of the berry bush and the black vase. So pretty!

Basement Fall Home Decorating Ideas

Last fall was the first year I got to decorate this space for the season. And it was fun! So of course, I had to hop down here and add some cozy fall additions again. 🙂

I’m really excited to give this space some fun striped pillows and a super cozy chunky throw. I am sure that throw will get used all over the house!

Backyard Deck Fall Home Decorating Ideas

Colorado can be so beautiful in the fall! And last year we had a beautiful, long fall season. Hoping for that again this year. So it only seems fitting to decorate the outdoor area so we can enjoy it as much as possible.

Most of the decor out here is the same as what you’d see in the summer months except I’m pulling out all the dead flowers and replacing them with pumpkins. Just to add a tad of color, I hope to incorporate some light green pumpkins.
