I am jumping way out of my comfort zone today friends. I don’t generally share lots of pictures of me, but I am doing this to hopefully inspire you. As a busy mom, it’s sometimes hard to find the time to dress nice. A comfy pair of sweats and a messy bun is often my look a few days of the week. But when it comes to leaving the house and running errands, I want to look more put together. Not like a million bucks — just more than $1.99. 😉 So, I decided to share with you some of my simplest, casual fall outfits that anyone can wear — and (hopefully) you’ll love. If you run into me in town, I’ll most likely be wearing one of these six outfits.

These outfits are meant to inspire you with maybe a new item to try or possibly a new way to look at your current wardrobe. I often see outfits on Pinterest that I love and try to recreate them with the items I already own.

Just a little disclaimer before I begin: A selfie model, I am not. Not sure I will ever be one. And I’m pretty sure I’ll never be an XS. So, please know, I am a little shy about stepping in front of the camera. But if these outfits inspire you in any way — please let me know. OUTFIT ONE

This outfit contains all of my favorite items combined into one look. I love this green asymmetrical coat! It just flatters in all the right places and has its own unique look. The skinny high rise jeans I bought a few months ago and I’m considering buying a second pair. They keep everything sucked in BUT they’re so comfortable too! The booties I scored in July on sale and I’ve been waiting for the fall weather to arrive to wear them. Now that I can, I don’t want to stop.

The tunic is a super soft long sleeve that’s all business in the front with a little low deep v-neck party in the back. 😉 (Shooting this pic was super tricky – can you tell?) The sweater is actually designed to be reversed. It’s like two tops in one — so cool!

OUTFIT TWO

Long cardigans are my go-to’s in the fall and winter months. Not only are they super comfy but also go with everything from leggings to jeans. I paired this one (I’ve had for years) with a super soft tee that I have in about three different colors ( black, gray and white). Then added a comfy pair of jeans and some dark green booties for a little pop of color. It’s the perfect outfit for a chilly fall day running errands.

OUTFIT THREE

I’ve never owned a sweater blazer before. I ordered this a few months ago and now wonder, how did I ever live without it?! It’s the perfect fall item to look stylish in a flash. The sweater part gives it the cozy feel, but the collar creates a more tailored look like a blazer. It looks great paired with (one of my many) striped tops and jeans. These tan mules are an item I picked up on sale a few months back. They’ve been my new go-to slip on shoe. Such a great neutral color goes with almost any outfit!

OUTFIT FOUR

See, I do add some color to my wardrobe. 😉 This top is so forgiving. After having two babies, this mom needs all the forgiveness! Paired with classic pair of jeans, some mules and a cute neutral leather bag. Perfect fall go-to outfit.

OUTFIT FIVE

Snow can fall in the morning and be gone by lunch in Colorado. So this outfit is the perfect transition from cold to pleasant. The waterproof booties are great for sloshing around town in snow or rain. And let’s face it…the hat is my go-to on days when I just don’t want to do the hair! 😉

OUTFIT SIX

I love leggings. The have been a staple in my wardrobe for years. But this year I heard a bunch of bloggers talk about faux leather spanx leggings. I was like, ‘Leather leggings?! There is no way I can pull these off.” But curiosity got the best of me and I ordered a pair. I put them on for the first time and was blown away. So cute and the spanx is like the best friend I have always wanted! The only rule I have when wearing them is that the bum is always covered.

I paired mine here with a simple casual gray sweater and comfy pair of sneakers. It’s a super cute outfit for any fall day!
