All you need is a few minutes scrolling through Instagram or Pinterest to see this trend is everywhere. It’s been a fast growing trend made popular last year. But I’ve noticed, it’s still going strong – even now. Although this trend can sometimes be pricey, I have some very affordable ways to still get the look in your home – for less!
I think the best way for me to explain my love for this trend is to let gorgeous inspiration photos do all the talking. So I’ve put together lots of fun cane and rattan eye-candy! I’m sharing a variety of different styles throughout multiple rooms in a home so you can see how easy this trend can be added to your own home without spending a fortune.
Dining Room Cane & Rattan Furniture
The dining room is a beautiful space to add cane and rattan furniture. There are so many lovely chairs that not only add striking texture and design to the dining room, but also very comfortable seating. I’ve seen cane chairs like these – everywhere. And because they are so popular, it’s easier to find them at all different price points!Â
Another way to add cane and rattan to your dining room is with pendant lighting. This gorgeous overhead lighting makes a fun statement in the room without stealing the show.
If your wondering whether or not the cane and rattan look is good for your home decor, installing a simple light is an easy way to experiment. Don’t like the look, remove it and you’re good to go!
Kitchen Cane & Rattan Touches
The kitchen has a ton of great locations for elegant cane and rattan pieces. Now I ask you, how amazing are these barstools?! I want! But these are totally out of my price range at a cool $1500 each. So, you know I’ll be on a search for a look for less. 🙂
And don’t forget about the kitchen island or counter top too. This is the perfect place for a cute rattan tray or vase!
Bedroom Cane & Rattan Decor
Cane and rattan decor has totally made its way into the bedroom too. You can go big or subtle – here are two examples.
There are so many gorgeous headboards out there now that are a beautiful statement pieces for the bedroom. Love, love the look of this bed! Here, the cane adds a soft, subtle texture to the bed that is so pretty!
Another way to add cane into your bedroom is with a simple table lamp! Such an easy way to give your bedroom a light, airy feeling.
How I Tried This Trend
Of course, I can’t ask you to try a trend without attempting it myself! So I wanted to share how I’ve actually incorporated a couple different cane and rattan pieces into our home over the past year or so. (But just between you and me – I’m already eyeing a few more items I want to buy!) 🙂
The kitchen has been the area where I’ve incorporated them most. Last years fall home tour I added this fun rattan lamp to the kitchen.
And last summer I made an easy floral arrangement and placed it inside a rattan basket. Love how this whole display turned out. The basket was such a fun addition to the flowers!
And now, I have another new addition to my kitchen as well. I purchased this rattan tray last week and decided to try it our as a new kitchen counter organizer. I have to say, I’m loving the new look.
