Try A Trend: Curved Furniture
It’s cozy and stylin’! Here’s how to decorate with curved furniture and easily add this latest trend into your home.
When it comes to home decorating, picking furniture that looks good is always a top priority. But really, it’s more important to select furniture that feels good. And that’s where curved furniture comes into play.
I think the appeal of curved furniture comes down to simple psychology: Our brains are inherently drawn to circular forms and curved lines, which are associated with safety and calm. And that’s exactly how we want our homes to feel. So it’s no surprise this style is trending more and more!
As you can see, rounded sofas and swivel chairs are currently being featured in many trendy interior designed spaces. Particularly if they’re upholstered in fun textured fabrics, like bouclé, sheepskin, and velvet which makes us feel even more calm and cozy!
Examples of Curved Furniture
So how can you add this look to your home? Well, I have a bunch of curved furniture eye candy to show you. There’s lots of inspiration and examples for almost every room in your home.
And then I’m going to share with you a ton of options and styles so you can easily find a piece that works with your decor and budget.
Before we start one tip to keep in mind! I think the key to seamlessly adding this trend to your home is to keep the colors neutral. You may notice that pattern in all the curved furniture items I feature and select. 🙂
Dining Room Curved Furniture
One of the simplest ways to add the curved furniture trend into your dining room is with a fabulous buffet or sideboard. Most styles can work with your existing furniture but still stand out in a unique way.
This neutral contrasting sideboard below is so stylin! It’s actually incorporating two very popular trends: the curved look along with the ribbed/fluted detail. I must say, dining room storage is looking pretty sharp these days, don’t you think?! 😉
And when it comes to seating, there are a ton of curved dining chair options! I’ve seen some that have a really striking modern look and some that have a very neutral classic style like these ivory dining chairs below.
Replacing all your dining chairs can get rather expensive. So if you’d like to add a touch of the curved arm chair look to your dining room, I would suggest to just swap out a couple of the end chairs.
Kitchen Curved Furniture
The kitchen is also getting to play with the curved furniture trend as well. I’ve been searching around for some new counter stools for our kitchen and have been amazed by all the new curved styles I’ve seen.
These woven back counter stools look so pretty in this kitchen! The curved backs add a nice detail to the chair while at the same time allowing for a more open and spacious feel.
Just another great example of how to add this style into your home without overdoing it!
Living Room Tables and Seating Curved Furniture
The living room setting has a ton of curved furniture options. From curved coffee tables, like the one below.
To a fabulous set of upholstered curved armchairs. Both items incorporate a super subtle look that goes beautifully with the rest of the living room decor.
And I have to say, swivel chairs seem to be super popular as well. Combine them with the curved look and you instantly have a very trendy furniture piece to add into your home.
Speaking of swivel chairs, I’ve been wanting to get this curved chair for our home but I just don’t know how to make it fit. My sister and I sat on it when visiting the store and we both wanted to buy it immediately! 🙂
Bedroom Curved Furniture
Last but definitely not least, the bedroom also has some fun curved looks. I’ve seem some beautiful curved dressers, nightstands and even beds. How fun is this curved canopy bed?!
Did you spot the curved armchair by the window too? Such a simple way to make your bedroom even cozier!
