One of my favorite things to do at the end of the year is look back and see what posts were your favorites. In years past, I have featured the top 10 posts. But for 2021, I decided to feature your top favorite posts from each month of this year. Just a different little twist on a fun 2021 recap!
2021 Recap: A Year in Review
So what happened in 2021? Did your favorite post make the list? Let’s take a look back at the top monthly posts you loved with this fun 2021 recap!
My Favorite Interior Design Books (January)
In January I started off the year sharing my top five favorite interior design books. I try my best – with a limited budget – to make our home a retreat from the world that’s comfortable and hopefully a little stylin’ as well.
But I know there’s a whole lot that I don’t know in this area. So I research interior design books trying to learn all I can. 🙂 Lots of fun home decor eye candy featured here!
Try A Trend: Vintage Vases (February)
I continued my home decor series Try A Trend in February, this time featuring some of my favorite vintage vases. I shared lots of different styles of vases, multiple ways to use them in different rooms and how I tried this trend out in my own home.
Spring in the Home Featuring Simple Florals (March)
March brought Spring, which brought the first home tour of 2021. Our Spring home tour featured lots of fresh florals and easy seasonal decor ideas – including a spring nest of tulips with white mums. Fresh florals are always so welcome after the long winter months. 🙂
DIY Planter Trellis – Perfect for Container Gardens (April)
In April I shared a fun garden DIY project. This easy planter trellis is perfect for container gardening. I grew some pretty huge tomatoes in these large planters this year! And I can’t wait to use them again in 2022.
Seven Easy Ways to Update Your Curb Appeal (May)
Everyone is thinking about getting outdoors once May hits, so I shared seven easy ways to update your current curb appeal. Even if your home improvement budget is small, I found some low cost ways to give your homes exterior appearance an updated look.
Strawberry Shortcake Cupcakes with Lemon Whipped Cream (June)
Strawberries are at the sweetest in June, so I featured a super simple recipe to enjoy them to the fullest. My strawberry shortcake cupcakes are so easy to make and delicious to eat. They even have a surprise in the center, a sweet strawberry jam filling! Sooooo good.
Easy Tips for Outdoor Entertaining (July)
Summers are so beautiful in Colorado, so in July I shared some of my best tips for easy outdoor entertaining. The best part about entertaining outdoors is no matter the size, you can make any space a great location to lounge with family and friends. 🙂
Get Your Kitchen Drawers Organized (August)
The organizing bug bit me hard in August, so I got busy organizing my kitchen drawers. I felt I wasn’t utilizing every drawer in my kitchen to it’s fullest potential. And when you have a small kitchen like I do – that’s a huge mistake! So I reorganized all the drawers and I have been reaping the rewards all year long. My spice drawer organization tips post was also a big hit as well!
Easy Fall Apple Tart (September)
September arrived and I was craving all the apple treats. So I shared a super yummy, oh so easy, fall apple tart recipe. The whole family loved this fall dessert especially with some vanilla ice cream on top (which I highly suggestion you try as well!)
How To Easily Make Cozy Pumpkin Pillows (October)
Once October hits I’m deep into everything fall including decorating. So I decided to share a super easy DIY tutorial on creating your own cozy pumpkin pillows. One of the things I love most about these pillows – they require absolutely no sewing. None!
Christmas Home Tour (November)
Christmas arrived a little early this year with our first home tour in November. For this year’s Christmas decor colors, I decided to go with green and white with subtle hints of gold and gray. Super simple but I loved the look.
