2021 Christmas Home Tour
Welcome to the first Christmas home tour of 2021. I hope you find some lovely Christmas decorations to inspire your holiday decorating!
Today marks the official start of our 2021 Christmas home tour! I kinda was a little late to the decorating game this year but once I finally got going – I’m pretty happy with the final look. 🙂
I am so honored to be joining my friend, Krista from the Happy Housie and so many other talented bloggers for this lovely Christmas Home tour edition of Seasonal Simplicity. If you are visiting from Krista’s lovely home, welcome! I’m so happy to have you visit us in beautiful Colorado!
So let’s get this Christmas home tour started in the living room!
For this year’s Christmas decor colors, I decided to go with green and white with subtle hints of gold and gray. Who knew I would love the asymmetrical look of a garland so much?! You may remember from last year’s Christmas home tour, I decided to style my garland on the mantel asymmetrical for the first time ever. Well, I liked it so much, I decided to do that again this year!
Although I did change a few details like switching sides and the placement of the stockings. Rather than space them all out, I put them all together on the right side. And I think I like them better all one side. Kinda balances out the garland that way. 🙂
Still loving my Silent Night wall art! It may be the art that appears every single Christmas from now on. 🙂
Speaking of art, over on the tv gallery wall I made a few changes as well. I’ve found one of the simplest things you can do when decorating for the holidays (or seasons) is switch out your art. So, I decided to add some winter wonderland pieces of art to my gallery wall frames.
Love the snowy scenes but the reindeer are my absolute favorites!
On the sideboard below the frames I added one of my favorite mini trees that I featured in my Christmas decorating favorites post. Every year I love placing these little trees throughout our home. 🙂 They have the softest twinkle. Loving the addition of my new giant bells too! They’re perfect for adding a nice subtle gold touch to this area.
Our Christmas tree got a few new additions this year too. And I was able to incorporate all four of my decor colors. 🙂
This gray/silver velvet ribbon is the reason I decided to add some gray to my Christmas home tour this year. I tied the ribbon into little bows and attached those to the tree. Such a simple change that gives the tree a whole new look and feel.
And then I added some new paper snowflake ornaments! How pretty are those? I’m kinda excited about those new Christmas snowflakes because I know I’m gonna find all kinds of ways to decorate with them over the next few years. 🙂
The tiny gold stars tie in nicely for that subtle gold accent piece! And I really love the detailed texture on the gold tinsel stars. I thought about adding a few more ornaments but once I stepped back and took it all in, I decided to just keep the look simple.
LIVING ROOM SOURCES: faux fur stockings | garland | silent night sign | house log holder | birch logs | fireplace sconces | silent night wall art | sideboard | tabletop trees in baskets | gallery wall frames | winter wonderland art | large gold bells | windowpane square ottomans | basket tree collar | tinsel star ornaments | gold stars | white snowflake ornaments | gray/silver velvet ribbon | tree topper | cozy green throw | green velvet pillows | wood and ivory decorative boxes | limestone knot | armchairs |
I hope you found some new creative ways to decorate your home for the Christmas holiday! No matter how simple, all you need are a few Christmas decorations to get that special, magical, twinkle. 🙂

That little village is so cute! Well done!
I love the print over your fireplace, and the ottomans are so pretty! I want some solid ones like that – mine are too squishy;) I also love how your gallery wall behind the tv came out! Gorgeous! Thanks for joining me, Laura.
Gorgeous as always! Your mantel is beautiful and I love the simplicity of your tree. I have some of those paper snowflakes too – love them! Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas!
I love your mantel, especially the art. Your Christmas tree is so beautiful also.
