Spring in the Home Featuring Simple Florals
Add spring in the home easily with some beautiful fresh florals!
Even though it’s not officially spring according to the calendar, spring has arrived in our home. I do admit, I kind of helped it arrive a tad bit early this year. 🙂 But I just couldn’t help myself – all the drab browns of winter had me craving some fresh green florals! So today I’m taking you on a tour of our kitchen and dining room with added spring touches throughout.
Once again, I’m super honored to be joining Marty, from A Stroll Thru Life. If you hopped over from Cassie at CassieBustamante – Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here and I hope to give you some easy and inspiring ideas on adding spring in the home.
Let’s start the tour in my favorite room in the house, the kitchen.
Spring in the Kitchen
If you’ve been a long time reader here, you know I love – adore – ferns. Bu I can rarely keep them alive. Does that mean I stop buying them? What? No! I figure I just need to keep trying cause eventually I’ll figure out what they need. Hopefully. 🙂
I will say this little fern next to the sink – is actually thriving! So maybe, just maybe it will hang out with me for some time. Last week I stopped in our local nursery looking for another fern but no luck. But I did mange to find this fun vine plant (got no clue what it’s called?). Both are helping me get my green fix though, so they are much loved!
Another new addition to our kitchen is this cute little faux table lamp. It’s wood texture adds a nice warm detail to our kitchen and it’s petite size allows it to slide right under our kitchen cabinets perfectly!
If you have never placed a lamp in your kitchen, I want to encourage you to give it a try. It’s such a fun trend to try, I actually wrote a post filled with lots of inspirational pics and a great collection of lamps that are perfect for the kitchen. (you can find that post by clicking HERE.)
I know I mentioned in my title there would be florals in this spring home tour and this is where my large black vase of sweet, dainty chamomile enters the tour. 🙂
What’s not to love about this sweet flower?! I’ve already started thinking I need to plant some of this beauty in our backyard this spring!

Spring in the Dining Room
The dining room has it’s own special florals this year as well. I decided to get creative and create a spring nest of tulips with white mums.
This fun spring arrangement was so easy to make! And I actually will be sharing the tutorial this week! So be sure to come back for the complete step-by-step.

Love that huge vase of chamomile- it’s one of my favorites! So ethereally beautiful!
Chamomile is a favorite of mine! I did florals for a wedding last year and used some chamomile as a filler flower! They are such a happy, wildflower! Your home is so beautiful and definitely ready for spring!
Love your kitchen, such a gorgeous workspace, and your plants are so pretty. I can’t keep ferns alive either, so you are doing better than me. Love the bouquet on the island, any spring flower is a favorite of mine and that tulip arrangement is stunning. Thanks so much for joining the tour again this season, love visiting your home.
You know, we have something in common. I love ferns but can’t keep them alive either. I have one languishing away in a pot in my office as I write! Love how you used pretty spring flowers to bring a pop of colour to your home – such a pretty tour!
I’m such a huge fan of your beautiful kitchen. It looks lovely decked out for spring.
Your kitchen is STUNNING! Love all the spring touches!
So many gorgeous touches of spring. It’s so lovely how plants and flowers can transform a room. Bravo!
Always love touring your home and seeing your pretty kitchen! I need to give the kitchen lamp a try.
Love the soft light of the kitchen lamp. It’s a game changer! 🙂
Gorgeous! I love the rug you used in your kitchen… it really makes the room cozy! It’s definitely a space I would enjoy spending time in!
Two beautiful rooms! Love your kitchen cabinet color and the gorgeous flower arrangement!
I’m trying my luck with real greenery this year too – I hope your fern makes it! 🙂 Beautiful tour as always and I have to say I never thought of putting a lamp in the kitchen. Looks great! Happy spring!
Why are plants so crazy finicky? Wishing us both much luck with the greenery this year! 🙂
I love you touches of Spring in your gorgeous kitchen and dining room! And I too am challenged at keeping plants alive. I even kill succulents! lol!
🙂 Linda
I just love your kitchen – the cabinet color is so beautiful! And I love your arrangements, perfect spring touches! Don’t feel bad, I kill all of my plants! I just bought two hydrangea plants, I hope I can keep them alive until they get planted outside!
So many beautiful plants and florals! I love the black vase and that twig one in the dining room! The lamp in your gorgeous kitchen is so perfect there! I love the color of your cabinets! Fun to hop with you!
