The Best of Spring Decorating Ideas and Good Eats
10 posts featuring the best of spring – each filled with lots of decorating ideas and delicious eats you don’t want to miss!
Today was a beautiful day in Colorado – like open the windows – kind of gorgeousness. Days like today have me craving spring! I want the drab days of winter gone and the lush green of spring to appear. So until that happens, I figure I need to start adding more spring to the inside of our home. And if you’re like me and looking for some great spring decorating ideas or yummy recipes to try – I’m featuring all my best of spring!
First up is some easy DIY projects you can make!
DIY Crafts
One of my favorite spring crafts was this elegant Peony Eucalyptus Spring wreath I made a couple of years ago.
This simple DIY has fast grown to be one of my post popular wreaths to date! 🙂 But guess what? I also have anther fabulous spring craft – my Starburst Forsythia Wreath.
This wreath may be my easiest one yet! Basically all you need is a grapevine wreath and some faux forsythia. Both of these wreaths would look fabulous on your front door.
And speaking of the front door, I also have a great Painted Doormat tutorial. Such a fun way to jazz up your entrance for guests this spring!
I don’t know what I love more, the doormat, the tulips or the leopard print mules. 🙂 I just spied this cute doormat which would be perfect for the new season.
Now let’s talk about adding some beautiful florals and plants!
Beautiful Flowers and Plants
Tulips are one of my favorite flowers so you will see them making appearances often. One of the best arrangements I ever made was my Tulip Eucalyptus Floral Arrangement.
I love the beautiful combination of tulips, eucalyptus with just a hint of baby’s breath. So simple but so elegant looking too! 🙂 And I just checked on this architectural vase and guess what? It’s on sale!
Another fun way to add spring to the home is with more green plants. In a Spring Home Tour from a couple of years ago, lots of gorgeous plants stole the show!
I was so in love with that maidenhair fern! If only I could’ve kept him alive. Chris is always asking me why I keep buying more plants just to bring them home to their death. They’re just so pretty – I can’t resist. In fact, tomorrow I’m headed to the nursery to see if I can find another fern. Shhhhhhh — no one tell Chris. 🙂
Now let’s talk about some good eats you’ll love!
Delicious Recipes
Looking for a classic dessert? You simply can not go wrong with my Strawberry Brownie Cheesecake. It’s such a lovely treat.
This sweet dessert is super impressive looking but amazingly simple to make. I promise! And you’re family will be thrilled that you made it. 🙂
Another great recipe is my Chicken Pesto Pasta with Mozzarella.
This dinner recipe is incredibly scrumptious and one of the fastest meals I’ve ever cooked. The key to making this oh-so-tasty is a really good pest. And I can’t recommend Costco’s pesto more! If you live never one – definitely look for it the next time your shopping. 🙂
And just because I have a sweet tooth, I have one more dessert I’m sure you’ll love. My Super Easy Rhubarb Strawberry Crisp is perfect for any weeknight meal.
Top this sweet crisp with a scoop of ice cream and you have one fantastic dessert!
And saving the best for last, I still have two more fun decorating ideas for you!
Pretty Printables
One of my all time best-loved prints is this Spring Essentials Printable. It’s a collage featuring all my favorite things.
But if you’re looking for a more simple spring art print for your home, my two Spring Flower Sketches are lovely.
This art design has a very neutral simplicity that would compliment the kitchen or any room in your home. A great way to add flowers to the inside that won’t die!!
I hope these ten best of spring posts will inspire and help you this season. Now, I’m off to the nursery for some more green – wish me luck! 🙂
