Decorating with Hints of Green Spring Home Tour
Decorating with hints of green is easy to do with the help of fresh flowers and pretty plants. Welcome to my spring home tour!
Are you excited that spring officially arrives this week? I am! Once again, I’ve teamed up with the lovely Marty from A Stroll Thru Life along with 29 other talented bloggers to share our spring home decor with you. This is one of my favorite tours to be in and I’m always so grateful to be invited!
So let’s get this spring home tour started in my favorite room in the house, our kitchen. This post contains affiliate links.
This time of year I’m always craving some green in my home because the winter months can be so drab. My local nursery had houseplants on sale a few weeks ago which was perfect timing for me. They had many gorgeous fiddle leaf figs and I really wanted to bring them all home. But I struggle so bad with keeping those types of plants alive in my house. So I saved my money and possibly the plants lives (ha!) by leaving them there. Instead I brought home a lovely maidenhair fern for my kitchen.
He fits just perfectly in a pretty basket on the counter. And just look at all that green he adds to this room!
No spring home tour is complete without a few fresh flowers right? I usually like to showcase tulips this time of year but these super pretty roses where just calling my name. The pink is so poppin’! 🙂
Next to the sink I added a cute little shamrock plant in a gray ceramic planter. I bought him at Trader Joe’s and he already has some pretty white flowers blooming. Maybe he’s happy with his new home — hopefully. (fingers and toes crossed)
Speaking of plants, my little mini fern on my kitchen counter tray is still alive. I think he might be the longest living plant in my house. So really, he needs like a major award. Although, he has looked fuller in the past. But as long as he’s staying green, I’m going to call it success!

SPRING DINING ROOM
Now let’s visit over in the dining room where you will find those pretty roses once again adding some pop of spring color to this tour.
For the spring home tour, I wanted to keep the tablescape simple with just a touch of color and a loaf of bread. Ya know, just the essentials for any dining table. 😉
I thought about making a bouquet with just the white roses for a simple look. But I just couldn’t keep my eyes of those pink ones. So I thought a mixture of both would be really pretty. The pop of pink just seems so spring like….
For the place settings, I included some new gold flatware for a little modern glam to the table. To add just a touch more spring to the plates, I used pretty blue gingham napkins.
And I had to finish the tour with one more little hint of green, brought to you by my mini fiddle leaf fig. This guy almost died in our bedroom, so I moved him down here by the patio door. And guess what? He’s been thriving ever since. Remember when mentioned earlier that I struggle with fiddle leaf figs? He’s the only fiddle leaf fig out of four (yes, I’m either really stubborn or not so smart!) to survive. So this area must be he’s happy place and now it’s mine too! I love the color he adds to this little corner in our dining room.

ha….three laura’s in one day! I love it and your green thumb….aren’t maidenhair ferns just so beautiful and delicate? speaking of beautiful….your kitchen! it’s gorgeous
Love your style! All of the other bloggers seem to think they have to put everything they own on every surface. Too much “stuff”! Less is more and yours is beautiful!
Thank you, Lynee. I’m in a ‘less is more’ stage of decorating right now. And I think this stage is going to stick around! 🙂 Happy Spring to you!
So so pretty! I wish I could have a big and beautiful fern like that but it would be too much temptation for my cats 🙁
Love all your pops of green and gorgeous flowers!! Such a stunning home tour – love your kitchen!! xo Heather
When Spring finally rolls around each year, I’m ready for a clean, fresh slate on everything, including my home decor. I like less, light and natural. Your beautiful kitchen and dining room, filled with light, laced with green and accented with a few bright spots of color are sweetly singing, “Spring!”
Awww, thank you so much, Judy. I think your comment is the most beautifully written one I’ve ever received! 🙂 Lately, I’ve been living in the ‘less is more’ way of decorating. A little more simple and more open for spaces to breathe. I really like it plus, less to clean! 😉 Thank you so much for stopping by today and blessing me with your sweet words. Happy Spring to you!
I love it, Laura! #metoo with the fiddle leaf figs, so I was glad to see that you have one survivor! Your spring touches are perfect and just the right amount. So nice to tour with you again!
Adding fresh greens to the house just makes it feel like spring! I love what you have done and those pops of pink are so fun too! 🙂
Your kitchen is so beautiful for spring. That pop of bright pink is my favorite! xoxo
Such a beautiful home and I love how clean and classic everything looks. Great style!
The pretty ferns and gorgeous fresh flowers are perfect for adding spring color! The shamrocks look great in the little pot by the sink. I bought some purple ones which I am babying on the porch with plastic bags in the evenings to protect from cold weather. I will plant them in the flower bed in a partially shaded area in May. I have had great luck with them growing large in the past.
I love your simple tablescape and the blue gingham napkins. Such a fresh look for spring!
So glad to be joining you on the Spring Home Tours. Happy Spring!
Your kitchen is always so beautiful! I’m completely smitten with your maidenhair. I can’t seem to keep them alive in my house. Sigh, I’ll live vicariously through you. 😉 Beautiful tour, friend!
Gosh I really love your beautiful spring home, Laura! So fun being on this tour with you again. Happy spring!!! xoxo
I love your kitchen! So clean and pretty! Happy Spring!
Love what those pops of fresh green and flowers do for a space! So beautiful and happy! Love your spaces!
Laura,
Your home is just so fresh and welcoming! I adore your dining room space! Those checked napkins are perfect!
