Let’s Talk Trunk Club – My Favorite Personal Styling Service
“Never underestimate the power of a good outfit on a bad day”. Getting a fabulous wardrobe is so easy with my favorite personal styling service.

I have a secret to share with you. I enrolled in a new personal styling service. Actually, I’ve been using it since last June. The reason why I waited to share with you is because I wanted to give it a long (over several months) review. That last styling service I tried kinda ended sadly after a few months. I didn’t like the clothes anymore and I felt that my stylist wasn’t listening to me. It was so frustrating. Live and learn, right?
So, I didn’t want to introduce you to another personal styling service that I didn’t love. I will say that over the past seven months, each box of clothes I receive just gets better and better. And I absolutely love my stylist, Taylor! Now having said that, I totally think it’s time to share with you, so let’s talk Trunk Club!

Trunk Club is Nordstrom’s at home personal styling service, which is great for busy moms like me. I don’t have time to (or WANT to) shop in stores because I usually have my kids with me. Kids in fitting rooms are no fun (been there, done that). But I do like the option of trying on the clothes before purchasing them.
So, that’s the beauty of Trunk Club! It allows you to try clothes on in the privacy of your own home. You have 5 days to try, and then send back whatever you don’t want to keep! It’s a great service for busy women, and there’s no styling fee if you have a Nordstrom card (score!) The other thing I love about Trunk is how easy it is to return unwanted items. I stick on the included UPS label and tape strips and then schedule a free pick from UPS! NO trips to the post office! Love.
Below, I put together a few outfits to show you what I got in this months Trunk.
First up, JCrew Pardon My French Tshirt (Size: M // Fit: TTS (true to size) and Sorel Out N About Boots (Size: 10 // Fit: TTS) . I paired those items with my favorite jeans.
Could this tee be any cuter?! I had to keep it and I’ve had my eye on those boots for a long time. My stylist had actually picked out a different color in my preview. So I asked her if it was possible to switch for the black…and boom! Now they are at my house. Nice!
Second outfit is Free People Cuddle Up Pullover (Size: S // Fit: huge!) and Zella High Waist Leggings (Size: M // Fit: TTS) and the same Sorel Out N About boots. (Those boots can go with any outfit really!) To top the outfit, I also added a fun hat!
The pullover is oversized, as most Free People tops can be. My stylist automatically sized down for me. It’s a super cute sweater but I think it’s just too huge. I already own TWO pairs of the Zella leggings. They are amazing and I wear mine every single week!
The third outfit is more for working out. It’s like my stylist new I was on a weight loss journey! lol Below is featured the Rival Sports Bra (Size: L // Fit: TTS), the Liberty Leggings (Size: M // Fit: TTS) and the Treasure&Bond Bell Sleeve Sweatshirt (Size: M // Fit: Over Sized).
I really loved this sports bra and I desperately need a new one, so this was a for sure keeper. The leggings were super cute too and fit great, but I just don’t need another pair at this time. The pink sweatshirt was pretty, loved the bell sleeves too! But I have a ton of sweatshirts already.
And the final outfit I have for you is featuring this KUT from the Kloth Faux Suede Jacket. (Size: M // Fit: Size Up!)
I was torn on the jacket. I would definitely need to size up because I have pretty broad shoulders. But I just wasn’t sold on the olive color. My hubby liked that color though, and it’s on sale for half off making it only $44. Ugh!!! What to do?!
There were three other tops I received that I didn’t photograph. One was the Madewell Soundcheck Side Tie Tee (Size: M // Fit: TSS)
The second was BP V-Neck Long Sleeve Sweater (Size: M // Fit: TSS). I loved this sweater and it is totally staying with me. Super soft and looks great with jeans and leggings.
And the BP Drop Shoulder Stripe Sweater (Size: M // Fit: TSS). I passed on this striped shirt because I was just too boxy for my figure. Are you shocked? I do love my stripes and it’s totally cute — just not for me.
Overall, this Trunk was my best so far! And I’ve had a ton of Trunks that I have loved! I kept four items and I’m sending the rest back because of size or color, or it was similar to something I already own.
So are you interested in trying my favorite personal styling service?
Communicate is key! Communicate with your stylist by sending her your Nordstrom wishlist, your Pinterest fashion boards, brands you like, and colors you love. Most importantly, be sure and tell her what YOU DON’T LIKE too. And also, be specific with price points.
Preview your trunk, decline what you don’t like and tell them why! Again, the more specific you are, the better. I made sure to tell my stylist exactly what I didn’t like about the items I decline so she knew for next time.
Request additional items, but ask to see them! If you decline items, request additional ones be added. But ask your stylist that you can preview them again before accepting the trunk. You want to be sure you’re interested in the items being sent to you so you can get the most of the trunk.
If you have a Nordstrom card, the $25 styling fee is waived (woo!). The $25 fee is applied to your purchase if you keep something from the trunk! ????
