Kitchen and Dining Room Plum Fall Home Tour 2019

| | |

Welcome to our plum fall home tour! This year I kept it sweet and simple with little hints of fall throughout. Come on in!

Are you excited that fall officially arrives this month? I am. 😉 I’m always happy to see this season roll around and all the fall home tours that come with it! Once again, I’ve teamed up with the lovely Marty from A Stroll Thru Life along with 29 other talented bloggers to share our fall home decor with you. This is one of my favorite tours to be in and I’m always so grateful to be included with such a talented group of ladies. If you are hopping over from House by Hoff, welcome! I just loved April’s fall home tour.

So now that you are here, let’s get this fall home tour started. This year I decided to keep my fall decor pretty neutral except for the occasional pop of plum. I decorated with plum last fall and I loved it so much, I just couldn’t resist doing it again.

Oh – I almost forgot – I have a surprise giveaway for you too! More on that a little later in the post. 😉 This post contains affiliate links.  First up, some pretty fall door decor.

Last week, I finished adding some fall touches to the front door.

When I saw this cute doormat, I knew it would be the perfect match for my outdoor rug. And it’s such a cute way to welcome you to our fall home tour!

A few cute lanterns filled with pumpkins, a little pop of color with a tiny plum mum and for now….the fall front door decor is done. I plan on adding more mums in a few weeks when I decorate the whole porch!

If you are looking for new fall doormats and rugs for your front door, I have put together some great layered combos found HERE

Now on to my favorite room in this plum fall home tour, our kitchen.

The fall decor in here is pretty minimal. The main fall decor here is a beautiful eucalyptus and ranunculus centerpiece  I made for our kitchen island. It’s a great way to add a fall ‘feel’ to our kitchen without being overly fall themed.

Placing this pretty floral next to the best smelling pumpkin candle I’ve ever had, is all the fall I really need! 😉

I also switched out the kitchen rug for a black and white striped design. Even though it’s such an easy change, it does give the kitchen noticeably different look.

I recently moved my money plant (I think that’s it’s name) into my kitchen. IT. IS. LOVING. this room. When I first brought this little guy home he was dropping leaves like crazy. He was down to just two leaves and now like at him! I think this is the most thriving plant I have ever owned. Even though this plant isn’t very fallish, I just had to show him off. 😉

And yes, that is a little plum pumpkin. It’s a hint of what you’re going to see in the next room of the tour!

Now, let’s move over to the dining room.

The last stop on this plum fall home tour is our dining room. Sticking with that plum color theme, I got a little creative this year with my dining room table centerpiece. I gathered up twenty different pumpkins and painted them with an ombre plum effect. Then I finished the look with a touch of some eucalyptus.

The stems even got a new look with a touch of gold paint! Since I used a bunch of different colors and styles of pumpkins, I wanted to still give them a cohesive look. By painting the stems a matching color, I think I achieved it.

These ombre pumpkins really steal the show in this room and I’m so glad I decided to go plum. Isn’t the saying. “Go plum or go home?” 😉
