Spring Is In Bloom…And A Giveaway Too!!

The birds are chirping and the grass is becoming green again! Spring is in the air!  And not to long ago, I decided it was time to start my Square Foot Garden again.

I had some success last year as my first year getting my hands dirty in this whole gardening process, but I also had lost of things not make or just plain DIE!

So this year, I decided to start earlier and plant some different things….like basil, cilantro and some cherry tomatoes! I also kept with some of our favorites like broccoli, swiss chard, spinach and bell peppers.  I got my seed starter kit and I got my seeds.

I drew up a plan and layout of my square foot garden and got my gardenin’ groove on!!

And look….some things are already sprouting….

My favorite are the swiss chards (with the red stems) and the inpatients.
  


But, you think that’s exciting…check out what they looked like today….


Yeah, buddy!! We have lift off!! Almost everything has started sprouting!! If so fun to watch them grow! Every morning I check on my little garden when I open the curtains to give them some morning sunshine. I tell them, “Good morning! Can’t wait till you little fellows grow up big and strong so I can eat you!!!” He he…

But sticking with the whole spring theme…I know everyone has lots to do to get their home ready for summer. Like planting a garden maybe or getting some new mulch for the back yard ( like we need to do!!) Trimming the bushes and maybe getting fertilizer for the grass…you name it. There’s lots to do to beautify your homes lovely outdoors.

  75. I would buy suet, nyjer and sunflower seeds for our bird feeders. The summer birds are starting to come back and we love watching them raise their young and bring their fledgings to the feeders.
