Spring Home Tour

Let’s celebrate a new season with a wonderful Spring Home Tour! Here you’ll find simple decorating ideas to get your home Spring-ified!

______________________

It’s Spring and my home is all dressed up! Today I’ve teamed up with Marty from A Stroll Thru Life, along with some very talented blogging ladies to share a week long tour full of Spring decorated homes. If you are visiting from Our Fifth House, welcome! I love Carmel’s style because she doesn’t worry about the rules! She creates a home she loves and has fun doing it. So let’s get this Spring Home tour started, shall we?

My front door is already blooming with this lovely tulip wreath. I noticed the other day birds where even checking it out. Too funny! I have a little trick to hanging wreaths on glass storm doors…it’s a two-sided magnetic hook and works amazingly well. It’s never fallen down and my door always looks beautiful.

Now it’s time for you to come on inside to the living room. You’ll notice that my decor is pretty neutral and simple. When we moved here a few years ago, I had too much stuff. So. Much. Stuff. No one needs that many knick knacks! So after purging, I made a promise to myself to keep things to a minimal.

I changed my decor for Spring with a few new navy pillows, more greenery in pretty vases and a subtle hint of pink.  I have a history of killing plants but over the past year or so…I’ve been pretty successful. So slowly…they’ve been joining the family. Although those succulents in the dog bowl, they are faux. Yep, it comes down to I have a two-year-old boy and he likes to “rearrange” my decor. Simple as that.

Sneaked in a little picture of the pug, Butters. If you look closely you can see he’s sleeping with his tongue hanging out. 😉

The kitchen is still my favorite room in the house, ever since the remodel (you can read more about that post HERE). And it’s pretty fun to decorate as well. I simply added some fresh flowers and greenery. My organized tray even got it’s own mini fern to add a nice pop of green. I hope he stays alive cause I really like seeing him every day.

For the dining room, I added some wall baskets with some lovely Spring flowers. I also scored that giant lantern on sale a month ago and thought this space was perfect for it. Three candles are placed inside it but was thinking another plant might be nice in there too.

The new sign in the dining room is a new favorite as well. To me, it’s a beautiful reminder to give– as we have all been blessed with so much.
