One Pendant Shade Ends A Year Long Project
Hey there everybody and a happy Thursday to you!
This week has been pretty productive, so far.
After some researching, price matching, worrying,
reading lots of reviews, debating, I was able to find a fridge.
I think. I hope.
Well I it bought so I guess the deal is done.
This is the first time we’ve had to replace a major appliance.
There are so many choices, it’s hard to know which one to get.
The only thing about this new fridge is that it won’t be delivered until…
wait for it….March 25!
So for next 3 weeks we are going to be living the dream…
without a fridge. Yikes.
This lady is going to have to get creative with menu planning
and continue praying for colder weather.
Why? Don’t I want Spring to come?
Yes, I do. But right now our “fridge” is an area
on top of our deep freezer in the garage!
Cold temperatures is our refrigeration! 🙂
So let it snow, let is snow, let it snow…at least until March 24.
A funny thing happened though while I was out fridge shopping at Lowe’s.
I happened to walk by the cutest little pendant lamp shade.
It was just what I needed to finish a project in my entryway.
A project that I started, oh…over a year ago.
Who knew it would take so long to find the right shade?
I snatched that baby up and left the store pretty happy!
Our entryway has a recessed light.
It has worked great with no problems.
I just thought adding a pendent light would be fun.
I stumbled upon this conversion kit in Lowe’s last year
(costs only $20) and it couldn’t be more simple to install.
Adjust the cord for the height you want,
then screw the conversion kit into the light bulb socket.
To cover the recessed light, just push the plate up to the ceiling.
Then add your shade (by tightening disc) and insert your light bulb.
Done.
I couldn’t be more happy with it.
Probably because I just finished a year long project
in about 5 minutes! 🙂
