No-Sew Burlap Valentine Heart Pillow
Hey there!
I absolutely love Valentine’s Day or as my family calls it “Happy Love Day”.
Today I wanted to share a fun pillow tutorial with you.
If you have been reading my blog for awhile, you know that I love easy crafts.
Well folks, I don’t think this craft could be any easier!

Well folks, I don’t think this craft could be any easier!
This pillow is so easy because there is no sewing required!
None. Zip. How do you like them hearts now? 🙂
You will only need four things to make this “Happy Love Day” pillow:
-pillow cover (got my at Hobby Lobby with a 40% off coupon)
-burlap hearts (also purchased at Hobby Lobby)
-a pillow insert (I just grabbed an old pillow from around the house)
and a glue gun.
Speaking of love…I totally {heart} my glue gun.
To me it’s almost as magical as duck tape! 🙂

First thing is to take your pillow cover and insert your pillow.
You could iron your cover if you like, personally I avoid ironing at all costs. 🙂Once you have the pillow inserted, do test run of your heart placement.
I placed my hearts on the pillow with about a 2 inch margin on the side
and a 2.5 inch margin on the top and bottom.
It doesn’t have to be exact, just go with what looks good to you.

After you have decided on your desired pattern, it’s time to bring out the big guns.
That’s right! It’s glue gun time. 🙂
I started with the center heart and worked my way around.
I outlined the back of each heart with hot glue and then placed
the heart on the pillow, pressing down for a minute or so.
I placed my finished Burlap Valentine pillow on a chair
and then stood back and admired.
I really love how a simple project can brighten up your home.

My total cost for this pillow was about $6.
Not to bad for adding a little touch of “Happy Love Day” to my home.
Plus it took me all of about 15 minutes to make.
Oh, speaking of Valentine’s Day…I also have a sweet cookie recipe you will love.
You can find this easy recipe here.
This is so adorable! I love simple, cost-effective projects. This one looks perfect!
How cute! I’m always ready to start Valentine projects the minute the Christmas decorations are packed away. This would be perfect!

This is so sweet! I love how simple this craft is but it looks so professional 🙂
Very cute!! I have some red burlap that is just itching to be used too! Thanks for sharing this idea 🙂
Looks great and I definitely admire the simplicity of making it! p.s. what’s with the washing up of the pillow cover? Does the glue endure washing in a washing machine or do I have to glue it again after washing? Have you ever tried it?
Irena, Thank you! I never actually tried to wash it. I really don’t think it would endure. 🙂
Such a cute pillow!!
