Laundry. It never ends right? Wash. Dry. Fold. Repeat. Forever. I will be the first to admit doing laundry is not my favorite way to spend my time. I have however, learned a few tips and tricks that help get the job done well. Today I’m sharing with you five laundry tips and tricks everyone needs to know. My tips will help you take better care of your clothes, and also save you time and money! I can always use more of those two things in my life!

Laundy tips and tricks everyone needs to know!

Tip #1: Prevent fading. Keep your clothes looking newer longer with a simple teaspoon of salt added to your wash. And for darker clothes, be sure to wash them inside out.

Prevent fading by adding a teaspoon of salt in your wash.

Tip #2: Remind yourself. Life is busy. It’s easy to forget what’s in the wash. Especially those delicate items you don’t want tossed into the dryer. (Shrinkage!) Simply grab a dry erase marker and leave a note on the washer. It’s great information for your hubby too when he offers to help out. 😉

Use a dry erase maker to remind you what skips the dryer.

Tip #3: Pre-treat stains. Whether it’s hand grease, baby formula spit up or a messy apple pie bar. Stop the stains before they hit the dryer with OxiClean™ Max Force Pre-Treaters.  For the grease stained towel I used the foam. The baby formula mishap needed the spray. And the apple pie bar didn’t have a chance once the gel stick hit! Here’s the before…

Tip #4: Dry faster and smarter! I always throw a dry towel into my dryer with the wet clothes. The clothes dry faster (in about half the time) and I save energy too!

Tip #5: Fight Wrinkles in a Hurry. Got to get dressed and out the door but your outfit is all wrinkled? Set your dryer to the highest setting, grab your wrinkled clothes and three-four ice cubes. Toss them all in the dryer for about 10 minutes. Then remove, give the clothing items a few snaps and you should be good to go!

These are my five tips and tricks. What are yours?
