Today, I’m sharing with you a simple craft project
that I made for the event…a DIY Monogrammed Burlap Canvas.
You know I love almost anything burlap
and when I saw these canvases at my Michaels…
It was love at first sight!
I was also super happy to discover they were on sale for 40% off
plus I had my mobile coupons!
With such a great deal right before my eyes,
I was also super happy to discover they were on sale for 40% off
plus I had my mobile coupons!
With such a great deal right before my eyes,
I decided to make His and Her monogrammed canvas for my master bedroom remodel.
That’s the reason why I went with pretty neutral color palate.
-burlap canvas (12×12)
-scrap paper
-strong glue
-felt flower
-wooden plaque
-wooden letter
-spray adhesive
-paint (optional)
-brush (options)
I started the project by tracing an outline of the plaque on to the back
of my scrapbook paper.
Since my paper was a little see-through,
I decided to paint my wood plaque white for better contrast.
If your paper is a darker color, you can totally skip this step.
While my plaque was drying, I cut out my traced outline with scissors.
I sprayed my painted plaque with some adhesive
and then applied my scrapbook paper on top.
Make sure to smooth it out with your hands to remove any bubbles.
Once that was dry I applied some strong glue to the back on my plaque
and placed it center of my burlap.
Using the same glue, I attached the “L” on top of the plaque.
For that little special touch, I added a gray felt flower.
Do you think this is something you would like to make?
