Cookie and Chocolate Dessert Charcuterie Board
Take the stress out of holiday entertaining with a fun Cookie and Chocolate Dessert Charcuterie board!
I’m pretty new to the charcuterie board lifestyle. Back this summer I learned all about them and how to make an epic charcuterie board. Since then, I’ve wanted to play with creating a different themed board. One that focuses on sweet treats, like a cookie chocolate dessert charcuterie board.
So I gathered up a ton of Christmas cookies. Then added some of my favorite chocolate candies. And finished the whole thing off with some sweet hot chocolate. I’m thinking this may be my best board yet! 😉
The crazy part is how easy it was to create! All you need is a board and maybe a few small bowls. Oh and if you are adding the hot chocolate as well, a few festive mugs! Mine are linked right here:
I have to say, it’s the perfect board to make for those fun upcoming holiday gatherings. There’s a little bit of something for everyone to nibble on. So let’s take a little closer look at how I made my cookie chocolate dessert charcuterie board and where I found most of the goodies.
Start With The Cookies
Trader Joe’s has the absolute best cookie selection. Especially is you are going for a Christmas themed board. So that’s where I found most of my cookies featured on the board. Except for the Peppermint Melt Away Cookies, located on the bottom left. Those pink cookies I made myself and will be sharing the recipe with you next week!! (Stay tune!)
Some of my favorite Trader Joe’s holiday cookies are the Mini Dark Chocolate Mint Stars. My boys can’t get enough of these! True confession, I usually buy three boxes on each visit.
In my defense, they’re very popular. And you never know when they’ll run out. So we stock up. And still, they’re usually all gone by Mid January. Hello extra 5 pounds on the scale! 😉
Add The Chocolate Treats
One of my favorite chocolate candies from Trader Joe’s are the Dark Chocolate Covered Peppermint Cremes. So good! If you are a peppermint lover like me, their Peppermint Pretzel Slims are yummy too! Both of these items are featured on my board as well.
Since this a holiday board, I had to include some classic holiday candy like the candy canes and my personal favorite, a bowl of Mint M&M’s. No Christmas is complete without a few of those M&M’s in my life. Yes, the can be addictive. Hello another 5 pounds! 🙂
Finish With Hot Chocolate
What’s the perfect drink to pair with this board? Why yes, you guessed correctly – hot chocolate. And to top it off with some fun, I found some mini peppermint marshmallows. Sebastian fell in love with these and wants to eat the whole bag. 😉 I also found these candy cane spoons which could be super fun to have with the hot chocolate too!
I hope I gave you some great suggestions and tips on how to make your own cookie chocolate dessert charcuterie board. There’s really no right or wrong way to create one. Just remember to include a big variety of items so that all your guests find a favorite!
And now I’m wondering, what themed charcuterie board should I make next? Any suggestions?
