Brie My Valentine – Date Night Meat and Cheese Charcuterie Board
Create a simple Valentine’s meal for your sweetie! This delicious date night meat and cheese charcuterie board has all the right ingredients for a special night!
Going out on Valentine’s Day night for us is always so crazy! If you’re not a person to plan ahead (like me) it’s a night full of long waits and lots of people. Not so romantic. So this year we are skipping the restaurants. Were puttin’ the little ones to bed a little earlier. And instead of fighting the crowds, we’re making a delicious date night meat and cheese charcuterie board for two.
Chris has always been a meat and cheese guy. I remember when we first got married and we would make sandwiches for lunch. He would only want bread, mustard, and cheese with meat. I was like no tomato? How about some lettuce? Not even avocado? Nope. So a board full of just meat and cheese is a good time for him!
Cheese and Meat
So for this board, I rolled up some spicy turkey. I also meant to add some pepperoni too but I completely forgot. Oops. But I think the cheese selection is going to make up for it.
Since this board is just for two, I only have two cheeses – Brie and Italian Truffle Cheese. That’s why I named this date night cheese and meat charcuterie board ‘Brie My Valentine’‘. I just couldn’t resist. 🙂
Crackers and Nuts
For a little crunch, I included two different types of crackers and nuts. Almonds are always a winner with us and I had to sneak on some walnuts as well. Do you know why? Well, apparently they are an aphrodisiac. So why not toss them on the board and see what happens — right? And just between you and me, that may be why I had to add some strawberries too. 😉
Fruit and Chocolate
Strawberries are a great addition to the Brie Mine Valentine board. Besides adding a beautiful traditional holiday red to the look, they also add some sweetness. For a couple more pops of red, I included some raspberries and a bowl of pomegranate seeds.
And speaking of sweetness, no Valentine’s Day is complete without some chocolate! On this board is some chocolate heart cookies, chocolate covered almonds (one of my all time favorites) and some milk chocolate hearts. And I even even upped it a notch with a sweet spreadable fig jam.
The last addition to this date night meal is a couple of glasses of wine. And that my friends, is how to dine with your love in mind. Yep, a little Valentine’s day poetry thrown in the mix too!
May this delicious date night charcuterie board give you some great inspiration for creating a night to remember with your sweet. Skip the crowds and enjoy some time together at home!
