Boys Christmas Bedroom Tour
A boys Christmas bedroom get festive for the season with simple touches of green and white.
I am so excited to show our boys Christmas bedroom! The last time you’ve seen this room is when I updated the walls. I added a little trim to the back wall and then painted the room a more calmer, neutral color. Since then, I haven’t shared this space much.
So when Chelsea of Two Twenty One asked me to join her Kid Christmas Blog Tour I was thrilled! It was such a great opportunity for me to share all the new changes I’ve made in their room over the past year. Plus show you some cute Christmas decor as well. 🙂
So, if you are visiting from Love and Renovations, welcome! And now, let’s get this tour started. This is your first view of the room as you enter from the doorway.
You may remember that Merry Christmas garland I hung on their bunk beds from a shopping trip to Homegoods. I walked through the whole store and it was the only thing I bought. Crazy right?! But it’s perfect for the boys room because I wanted to decorate their space with mainly green and white. Sebastian loves green right now and Britton is pretty much cool with any color, so I picked white for him. 🙂
The Tree
The boys bedroom is not very big but I still wanted them to have a tree of their own. So I found a mini porch tree that ties into their neutral decor wonderfully. I did add double the lights to it because my boys are Christmas light fans — so go big or go home!
I placed some pom-pom garland over that and then added a white and black striped ribbon bow on top. There are only two ornaments on the tree, game controls I found at Hobby Lobby. Right now the boys are really into playing Playstation, so it just seemed like the perfect Christmas accessory for their tree.
The Reading Corner
Next to the tree area is a little reading corner I have created for them. We have a fabulous new white and walnut modern bookcase that provides a great place to store books and extra stuffed animals as well.
The swing chair was added back in June. It (of course) was and still is the most popular chair in the house! Sometimes I even find Chris up in this chair writing on his laptop. It is a very comfortable chair so I don’t blame anyone for loving it! 😉
To give the chair a more Christmas vibe, I added a couple new pillows. The red plaid one, I just couldn’t resist. It’s not green but it does have some white. And it does add some pop of color to this corner, so I left it in the room!
The most recent add to their room was a couple new wall shelves.
Wall Shelves
I’m kinda embarrassed to admit how long I’ve had these shelves in the garage. I think we went to Ikea in July to get them. It’s been so long, I can’t even remember. (ugh!) But last week I finally got around to installing them and I love how they look.
Not only are they a great place for the boys to display their treasured possessions, but they’re also fun for Mom to decorate for Christmas! 😉
They each have their own large, wood initial placed on a shelf. And then I added a few green and white bottle brush trees. The wooden stars and white ceramic house came from the Target Dollar spot last year. I wanted to add some more twinkle lights for them at night. And these little houses give off the perfect soft glow for sweet dreams!
No boys Christmas bedroom is complete without a few classic Christmas books as well!
Christmas Books
Jan Brett was one of my favorite authors when I was teaching Kindergarten. The Mitten was actually a book my students and I would act out as we read it. I would have a giant blanket and they would pick an animal mask. Then as we read the story, when their character climbed in the mitten, they would climb under the blanket. And when the big sneeze comes in the end of story, the blanket flies off. They loved it!
Of course, the Polar Express is another classic book this time of year. I had to include that one as well! All of my favorites are here…
Next to the shelves is a fun world alphabet canvas wall art. Britton loves to read this art every night before bed! And below that canvas is the cutest Christmas countdown sign! It came with hardware to be installed into the wall. But I didn’t want to create holes in the wall for a temporary sign. So I just threaded some velvet ribbon through the holes and tied it up that way. 😉
I like how it hangs on the wall hook. And it’s low enough for both Sebastian and Britton to change the days countdown.
One of the newest hits in this room is a fun wooden tree house.
Wooden Tree House
This tree house play set has to be (hands down) Britton’s favorite thing in this room. He has played with it and the little set of eight forest animals for hours. He’s even got his big brother hooked. 😉 This tree house and the play animals are all on sale right now too!

I even added a couple of cable knit Christmas stockings to their beds as well. They looked a little sad empty so I let Kermie and Britton’s lovey elephant fill them up. 🙂
I hope you enjoyed the tour! It was a ton of fun for me to show you all the new updates to my boys room. 🙂

Anyone know where to source the sign that reads “Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young . . .” ?
Hi Linda! I got that sign at Hobby Lobby. Hope that helps. 🙂
