Basement Living Room Reveal
Big thank you to Joss&Main for sponsoring today’s basement living room reveal post.
A cluttered room gets cleaned out and revamped. Come see the new and improved basement living room reveal!
First off, I want to thank you for all the love you showed me on yesterday’s post. I’m so thrilled that you love the basement home office area as much as we do!
When the my friends at Joss&Main asked if I would love to team up on a cozy fall edit post, I was happy to say yes! My basement living room area definitely needed more cozy and less clutter. So if they were kind enough to help me make that happen, I was all in!
Before I share with you my two new cozy additions to this space, let me show you how this area of the basement looked like before I got to work.
The Basement Before
As you might be able to tell, this room was needing some serious help! When I started designing the basement mood board, I knew I would be dividing this room into three zones. Zone one would be the desks, zone two would be a more art area (stay tune for that reveal next week!) and zone three would be a living room area.
So I removed everything from this space. I then made a few changes like removing a shelf, painting and then I added some great accessories. And now it’s time to show you what this space looks like today.
The Basement After
Welcome to our new basement living room! Such an improvement, right? An area rug, lots of throws and even some black and white fall photos of the boys make this space so much cozier!
But I have to say, the stars of this brand new look are my two new chairs!
When I laid eyes on these Ashbourne Armchairs, I knew they would be the perfect accessory for our living room area. Since there are four of us – two which are boys that seem to be getting bigger, our couch isn’t enough seating.
So these new armchairs were the solution. Not only are they super comfy to lounge in, but they are also soooo sleek and modern. Just check out those fabulous back legs. Ooh-la-la!
The warm wood tones of the chairs compliment the couch really nice. And they also help extend that modern warm feeling from the new desk area into the living room as well. If you are looking for some new accent chairs for a room in your home, be sure to check out Joss&Main’s great selection!
And since this is a fall themed post, I just had to include some real pumpkins as well. 🙂 Those little mini boo pumpkins are my favorite!
The basement can get pretty dark at times. So just for fun, I decided to show you how it looks with the sconces on as well. Now it’s even more cozy. 🙂
So if you are keeping track, two out of three new zones in the basement have been revealed. Are you ready to see the last zone? It’s coming – so stay tuned!

Love the makeover on your basement. Well done!! Love the color of your walls. If you dont mind, what paint color is it?
Thank you, Hope! I painted the walls Repose Gray. 🙂
Love the chairs. Are they a warmer color or more gray? I love the lines.
Hi Sherri! I’d say they are more a warmer color than gray. Although they do have a more gray type chair as a color option. 🙂
