Basement Family/Play Room Makeover – Week 2

So it’s now officially week two of the One Room Challenge. I thought for this week I would show you my vision for this Basement/Family Play Room Makeover. (If you missed what this space currently looks like, you can find lasts weeks post here.) I really want this space to be a place were the boys can play obviously but also an area where the whole family can get cozy and enjoy. I have dreams of game nights, movie nights and lots of laughter and beautiful memories. So with all that in mind, wanna take a peek?

Here’s a my plan for this space:

Sources: fire escape, clock, DIY Cinema Light Box, grey sectional, paris table and chairs, reclaimed weathered wood, rug

The room is pretty small, so the sectional will take up a big amount of space. But I think it will be totally worth it! I plan to accent one wall with the reclaimed weathered wood and also use it for a little DIY project I can’t wait to show you! The table and chairs will be perfect for my little artists to draw or for a night of fun and games! And the lighted cinema sign? Well every family/play room has to have one of those! 😉

I’m so grateful for all of my sponsors that are helping me transform this space: American Family Furniture and Uncommongoods. And I can’t wait to see their wonderful products in my home!

So hopefully next week, I will have some progress in the actual room to show you. It’s going to take me awhile to get everything organized, dumped or cleaned up. And I’m really afraid I’m going to run into a few spiders along the way too! Yikes.

I can’t wait to see what the other participants have linked up this week.
