The Guest Bedroom/Office Project
Happy March 1st everyone! I am so excited to share with you my latest project. Wanna know why? Because YOU are going to help me finish it! Before I get into all the fun details let me share a view of the room. I’ve decided the third bedroom in our home is going to be our new guest bedroom/office.
As you can see this room is going to need lots of work. The day bed (and bedding) will be staying because I love that bed and the duvet cover is brand new. I have already purchased a desk, just need to get it out of the box.
The paint color is that ugly red again that was in my dining room. The past owners were obsessed with red– so of course that is the first thing to go!

I’m thinking my desk will go on this wall. But I have thought that having a desk under the window would be nice too. So many decisions to make and that’s why I need you! Here’s how you can give your input into the design of this new space. Each Monday I will have a new choice dilemma…it may be on where to place furniture, or color choices, or products to buy. You will get to vote on your favorite and then I will go with the winning option. Make sense? It’s going to be so much fun to have a room in my house designed by YOU!! 😉
So the first dilemma I have is paint color. I want to go with a gray but I can’t decide between Reflection or Lazy Gray (both by Sherwin Williams).
Reflection is a very soft, true gray while Lazy Gray has a darker, but subtle blue under tone. Decisions, decisions. Can you help me out? Vote for your favorite and the winning color will be on my walls! Can’t wait to see which color you pick.

I voted for Lazy Gray because Reflection looks like it has a greenish tone to it. It just may be the computer screen though! You are brave! I don’t know if I could go with votes from strangers to decorate a room in my home. Good luck!
I prefer lazy gray (at least on my computer screen) as reflection looks green to me. Both are pretty, though. Guess I’d go with whichever looks best with the duvet cover.

I would call lazy gray almost periwinkle, so I guess it depends on how gender neutral you’d like it! I’m leaning toward reflection, myself! Well, you asked, lol!
