Summer Home Tour 2019: Part 2

Welcome to the home tour of our summer bedroom. It’s mostly neutral decor with just a touch of navy blue!

Today I’m showing you the one room in my house I need to spend way more time in. This lady never gets enough sleep! 😉 This post may contain affiliate links. 

Welcome to our summer bedroom tour!

Have you noticed? The little pops of blue here and there. I’ve slowly been adding more and more blue to our home decor. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still a lover of black and whites. (Did you see our front porch?) But blue can be a neutral too right? And I think it’s the perfect color to add into a bedroom for summer!

This year, our bedroom decor has a few subtle changes. First update is our bedding. Our duvet cover and shams remain the same but I switched out our flannel sheets for some soft gray linen. I have never put linen sheets on our bed before, but so far the hubs and I are loving them!

I also replaced our dark gray velvet quilt with a light navy blue one. Chris rarely uses it but I sure do! If the weather allows it, we like to sleep with the window open. Love the fresh air but some times this lady gets a little chilled. So this new quilt is the perfect weight for our cool Colorado nights!

New Summer Art

My favorite new addition to our bedroom has to this woven tray. It’s classified at a tray but I think it looks just as good on the wall. I loved our family photos over the bed, but I decided to move them to another wall. And I think this one change instantly made our room feel more brighter. That’s always good right? 🙂

You know that I’m a pillow addict too. So when I was shopping for our bedding, some how this over-sized striped lumbar pillow with blue tassels fell into my cart. So of course, I had to bring it home. 😉 It adds a great pop of color to all the white on the bed!

And of course, no summer home tour of mine is complete without a few peonies included. It’s amazing how just a few flowers can fill a whole room full of sweet fragrance. They smell sooooo good!

I hope you liked the tour of our bedroom all refreshed for summer. Sometimes it’s the simplest changes that can really make a room feel more like home. 🙂
