Six on Saturday: New Uses for Marshmallows

As the days get warmer,
more of us will soon be hovered around fires and
reaching for the marshmallows to build our sweet S’mores.
But did you know that those white, circles of sweetness
can do more than just melt your chocolate? {wink,wink}

Discover six new uses for marshmallows
that are pretty sweet in the helpful department.
1) Transport a frosted cake with ease. Strategically place marshmallows on top of a frosted cake, then top with plastic wrap. No more wrap stuck to the cake! {Hate when that happens!}
2) Keep your brown sugar soft. Toss a couple of marshmallows in your bag or jar of brown sugar to prevent that sweet stuff from getting hard as a rock.
3) Soothe a sore throat. Looking for some relief from a minor sore throat. Try a marshmallow, the gelatin may help coat and soothe the pain.

4) Make a quick cupcake frosting. When your cupcakes have about three minutes left to bake, pull out the tin and place one marshmallow on top of each cupcake. Place the tin back in the oven for the remaining time or until the marshmallows are slightly melted.

5) Stop candle drips. Place a mini marshmallow under your candles. Now there will be no more awkward candle drips in the frosting.

6) Help with a pedicure. No cotton balls? Grab some marshmallows to separate your toes. Just no snacking on them afterwards, m’kay? {Ewwww.}
