But I realize gray kitchen cabinets are not for everyone. So that’s why I want to dive deeper into creamy white cabinets.

1 | Benjamin Moore White Dove

White Dove is one of Benjamin Moore most popular white paint colors.

It’s a warm, creamy white but, in certain spaces, all you’ll see is a clean, classic white color. Thus making it a best choice for many homeowners as well.

2 | Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace

Another off white color that is a great option for kitchen cabinets in Chantilly Lace. This color is a close second behind White Dove as one of Benjamin Moore’s top white paint colors.

Chantilly Lace is incredibly crisp and clean white, with just a very slight touch of warm tones.

It’s absolutely gorgeous on cabinetry making it a great choice for any space that you want to feel light and airy.

What I love most about this particular white is it can stand the test of time. It’s a trendy color without ever going out of style.

Plus, it can be used in any type of lighting situation. So if you’re kitchen as limited lighting, you definitely want to consider Alabaster.

4 | Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee

I love this color for white walls! So much so, it’s what I recently painted our primary bedroom. But it’s also a perfect choice for cabinets too.

Interior designers love Swiss Coffee – including Shea McGee who used it throughout her home as a wall color and in many of her projects as well. Swiss Coffee is a beautiful, darker off-white paint color that has a lovely warm undertone.

It’s a popular choice because it pairs well with a variety of other colors. And it can complement both classic and modern design styles very nicely!

Although this shade is slightly warmer than Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace, it still works quite well with white marble and wood flooring as seen above.

Even though this popular color is more of a griege, it’s so clean and fresh it can appear as a beautiful off-white.

Natural Cream is a great alternative if you like the idea of a white kitchen but want something with a little more color and depth.

9 | Sherwin Williams Snowbound

You may have noticed most of my best paint colors have been with Benjamin Moore. Well, this color from Sherwin Williams is definitely worth mentioning!

Snowbound is a great go-to color for cabinets and trim. It reflects enough light to feel like a true white but enough warmth to keep it from being too stark.

It’s like the perfect combination for any kitchen color scheme!

10 | Sherwin Williams Pure White

One more Sherwin Williams color that I love for a kitchen is pure white! This is a good choice for a classic kitchen because its warmth pairs well with many modern finishes.

So if your kitchen has white quartz countertops or a white subway backsplash, Pure White is flexible enough to compliment those details beautifully. Just look how fantastic it looks in the kitchen above!

FAQs About Painting Kitchen Cabinets

Generally about two gallons. But to get close to the exact amount, multiple the length and height of your cabinets to get the total square footage, then divide that number by the paint’s promised coverage (typically 400 square feet). If you have a lot of trim work to paint as well, add about 10 percent more to the total.

I recommend Benjamin Moore Advance. It provides a hard, furniture-quality finish making it the gold standard for painting or repainting kitchen cabinets. It’s what I used on my own kitchen cabinets.

Painting cabinets is a pretty big job, so you probably only want to consider it for a major style overhaul. But there aren’t any hard-and-fast rules. Just be sure to always sand and prime cabinets before painting so that your hard work lasts!
