How To Rock Kitchen Counter Organization in a Styling Way
A well organized kitchen is such a beautiful sight to behold. Turn your kitchen counter organization into a display that is not only functional but also stylin’!
I crave organization like Patrick Swayze needs Baby. And nobody puts Baby in a disorganized corner! 😉 What can I say? It’s fun to organize! But sometimes that organization needs a little tweaking or update. That’s exactly what happened to my kitchen counter organization tray.
You may remember a couple years ago when I shared a post on how simply organizing the kitchen counter gave me more cabinet space. Well, I decided it was time to give that amazing organizational spot in my kitchen a new, fresh look. I went with a more modern black and white decor and I absolutely love it!
There are a few lucky items that did get to stay. I kept the utensils (cause I need them to cook!), my white wood pepper mill and those two gold-tipped glass oil bottles. I have too much love for those pretty little bottles to ever part with them! Plus I felt they could easily stay because they work so perfectly with the new modern decor.
So let me tell you about the new kitchen counter organization items and why I picked them…

White and Black Tray
As much as I loved my round wood and metal tray, I wanted a completely different look.
So when I found this white tray with black edging I knew it was perfect for my kitchen! It was still wide enough for me to fit everything I needed on it. The rectangle shape was a nice style change. But that black trim was what really sold me. It was a fantastic contrast for my white quartz counters.
Ok, now here is the crazy thing about this tray. I just bought it like two weeks ago and it’s already discontinued. What the what?! Such a bummer. So I did mange to find one that’s very similar HERE and a black and white striped one HERE.

Concrete Utensil Holder
For the canisters, I wanted them to pop off the tray. So I started looking for something in gray or black. When I found these gray/blackish concrete utensil holders I instantly feel in love. The concrete detail just seems to fit seamlessly into the kitchen decor. And I love the color contrast they add to the tray and the kitchen. They work so well with the white subway tile too. Such a good find!

Oil Bottles
Yes, these are the same oil bottles. I had to keep them because they work great, they look stylish and they’re so practical.
I just hope they don’t break before I actually stop liking them. 😉 So bottles, if you could just do your thing for the next couple years, that would be great!

Salt Cellar
There wasn’t really anything wrong with my previous salt cellar. But for fun, I just started looking around at different styles.
This salt cellar caught my eye because of that tiny little wood scoop that fits inside. How adorable is that?! I wanted something with a little wood detail to compliment the wood pepper mill (similar). So, this had to get on my tray!
I love the fact that it comes with a little glass lid as well. Sometimes I prefer to leave the salt open so then I just set the cellar on top of the lid. It’s conveniently out of the way and yet still there if I want to cover the salt.

Small Plant
I always love the opportunity to add a tiny pop of green to my kitchen. And this kitchen counter organization tray is no different! I can not believe I am typing this BUT this little fern is officially two years old. It’s amazing that I’ve been able to keep him alive that long! 😉
And I love that small gray striped ceramic planter pot. It fits in perfectly with the neutral decor but adds a nice touch of pattern and detail to the tray. Fred the fern just loves his new little home. Can never go wrong with some stripes, right?

So what do you think of the new look?
I’m really happy that I changed up the look of my kitchen counter tray. Sometimes I feel home decor can get stuck in a rut. So it’s nice to give our eyes a new view every now and then, don’t ya think?
Don’t forget to PIN this for later!

I love your kitchen tray & how you put it all together! I am needing a new pepper mill (mine has a big crack in the side) & was wondering where you got yours? I really like the combination of wood & white.
Thank you
Marcella
Hi Marcella! Thank you for the sweet comments! I actually bought that pepper mill about three years ago and it has since been discontinued. Sorry!
This will be my next weekend mini project! It’s so cute!
That’s great! I’d love to see pics if you want to share. 🙂
Hi! I LOVE your kitchen tray and want to copy it. I can’t find a similar tray. Can you recommend one please?
Hi Kristen! I’m sorry, but unfortunately I don’t have any other recommendations. I think that style of tray has been discontinued because I can’t find any similar trays at all. So sorry. 🙁
It looks great and everything you need, I have a High side basket, think I’ll change that love your tray
Thanks
Thanks, Deborah! That try is one of my favorites! 🙂
