Frozen Chocolate Coconut Banana Bites

| |
Hey there and a very happy Thursday to you!
I have good news to announce…I have officially lost over 10 pounds.
(Whoop! Whoop!)
Yes, it did take me almost three months to do it.
I realize if you break the math down it’s like about 3 pounds a month
which sounds pretty wimpy that way so…..
I’m just going to marvel in the 10 pounds lost and not talk
anymore about how long it took to get rid of it, k? OK! 🙂

I wanted to celebrate my {miraculous} weight lose with a healthy treat
that wouldn’t put back all 10 pounds in one bite!

I found the perfect low-calorie dessert and I am so excited to share it with you.
It’s healthy, covered in chocolate and coconut and it tastes like candy.
Now I know you’re screaming, “Tell me what is it Laura!”

These sweet Chocolate Coconut Banana Bites are frozen little treats that will amaze you.
My husband took one bite and said, “Oh, Oh. That’s like candy! I want more!”

So ya, I think these bites will be a big hit in our house.
Besides the fact they’re really easy to make, these babies are only about 35 calories a pop.
They can easily be stored in the freeze for a fun treat whenever your sweet tooth starts a callin’.
And for me, that’s pretty much everyday of my life! Enjoy!

Recipe: Frozen Chocolate Banana Bites
(makes about 14 yummy bites)

Ingredients:

  • 2 bananas
  • half a bag of semi-chocolate chips (6 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons shredded coconut

Directions:

Cut your bananas in 1/2 inch, even slices. Melt your chocolate over very low heat. Dip your sliced bananas into the chocolate and then roll in coconut. Place on parchment lined baking sheet and freeze for one hour.

  2. They looks really refreshing and just the right size! I wonder do the bananas turn brown after freezing?

Thanks for sharing on The Oh My Heartsie Girls WW this week.

  3. These are exactly what I would love to snack on everyday and so easy! I am loving all the “bites” recipes out there. Pinned!

  4. Saw this on Chicken Chicks Blog Hop today. I have some bananas already in the freezer because they keep good there. I’m wondering If I can peel, cut and dip them in the chocolate straight out of the freezer.

    1. I’ve never thought to try that, Karen. But you know what? I think it probably would work wonderfully. Let me know how it goes! 🙂
