DIY: Pottery Barn Inspired Tandem Art {Free Printable}

A very Happy Tuesday to you!
I’m so excited to share my latest do-it-yourself project with you.
I actually designed this a couple weeks ago.
But then my little man got really sick and everything was put on hold.
He is now doing much better thanks to some super antibiotics.
Makes this momma super happy! 🙂
I’ve been searching for some art for my newly painted bathroom.
When I saw this Tandem print at Pottery Barn I really liked the style of it,
except for one little thing.
I wanted the balloon to be a mustard yellow color instead of the red.
I started thinking maybe I could recreate the art print with my color choice.
After a few minutes of investigative work I found it was completely possible and
I may or may have not squealed at my husband in excitement!  🙂

Just to give you a closer side by side comparison.
The inspiration…
My creation…
I think they’re pretty close, don’t you?
I love the look of my new bathroom art. It’s just like I imagined.
(Love when that happens!)
The whole process to create my print took me all of about five minutes!
My first step was to find my two images,
the tandem bike and an old dictionary page.
Once I had those, I jumped into PicMonkey to create the print.
With my art complete,
I downloaded it to Staples and order an 16×20 photo image print.
To finish my knock off, I was needing a picture frame.
Much to my surprise, Joann Fabrics just happened to have all their
frames like 50% off. Yea for me!
I thought framing in black would be a nice contrast color for my picture.

All together I was able to recreate the tandem art for only $40.
That’s a 60% savings plus it goes perfectly with my new decor!

I haven’t finished accessorizing the bathroom yet,
so you will have to wait for the full reveal. Boo!But I’m not going to leave you with nothing.
If you would like to print my PB Inspired Tandem Art, you totally can.
It’s yours for FREE! 🙂

I hope to finish the bathroom this week, but no promises! 🙂
