A Little About Me…
After I quit my job, I found myself home alone with a baby. I really missed the adult conversations I had while working. I would bombard my husband as soon as he walked in the door at the end of his work day longing for adult conversation! And if that wasn’t bad enough, I basically only had about two topics to discuss: 1) what new thing my son did that day and 2) what guest was on Oprah!! Man, that was pretty boring!! You can only talk about Oprah for so long! Please don’t misunderstand me, I loved every moment I had with my son, but I also knew something was missing from my life.
With being a stay at home mom, I also found myself with a tighter income. We went from two paychecks to one. We knew that it would be hard financially after we had our son. But that was an area where we stepped out in faith. We knew that if God was willing to bless us with a child, He would also provide for us to be able to take care of that child.
I started searching the internet for mom websites that could help fill in the missing adult conversations that I longed for. And as I searched, I started to stumble on to websites that were all about moms saving money. I found I related to all these other moms that were not only sharing their struggles to stretch their income, but their day to day experiences as mothers. I was hooked!
One day, I finally decided to create my own website and Inspiration For Moms was born. I wanted my site to be full of topics that moms can relate too. Do you need help in planning weekly meals for your families or some new recipes? Maybe, you need a good inspirational quote to lift your spirits. Or you want to redecorate your home but you don’t think you can do it yourself (that’s where I say, You can!). I want to inspire you to do anything you desire. After all, you’ll never know unless you try.
I started this website to be an inspiration. I hope you find it to be that and more!
Is this my favorite Laura? I am trying to post a comment so you will give a dollar to help the people in Haiti. Thank you so much for doing this! I had no idea you had a site. Now I am going to look around.
