When was the last time you and your partner had a good belly laugh? Do you ever cut loose and act silly?
Once when I was teaching kindergarten they had a open house and my husband came to the event. I didn’t even realize our actions until one of my co-workers said, “You guys are so silly together, kinda like high school sweethearts.” To this day, I take that as a compliment. I love joking around with my main squeeze!
In fact, laughter is what attracted me to my husband in high school. He was one of the funniest guys in our school. Almost 20 years later, I am still laughing.
Many couples don’t realize how important it is to bring fun and laughter into the relationship. Love this quote…
“When people are laughing, they’re generally not killing each other.”
~Alan Alda
Laughter has amazing effects on your physical health. It helps your body relax, strengthens the immune system, triggers the release of endorphins and strengths your heart muscle. Laughter can also help your mental health. It adds joy and zest to life, eases anxiety and fear. It also improves your mood.
Now that you have seen all the benefits of laughter, it’s time to start laughing!

Rent a funny movie or television series. Look up some funny jokes on the internet. To get an almost guaranteed laugh, tickle each other! Maybe you could host a game night with friends or go out to a comedy club. How about a fun night of bowling? The last time Chris and I went bowling, I laughed so hard that I cried. There’s a reason why you are not suppose to step across the line at the beginning of the lane. Apparently, it’s a little slippery. 😉
Let me help you get started. This is a great video for all you moms…
Life is full of moments to laugh, if you will only take notice. 🙂
