Spring Master Bedroom Refresh
A master bedroom gets a refresh for Spring with a few simple touches of lovely blues and greens.

It has been bee-u-tiful here in Colorado! I’ve had the windows open every day this week. The Spring like weather has me in a total decorating mood. So I thought now was the perfect time to lighten things up and give the whole house a Spring refresh. Lucky for me, I am not the only one who has Spring decorating fever. I teamed up with Monica from Monica Wants It along with many other super talented bloggers that are sharing their homes all Spring-ified (I totally just made up that word!). If you are coming over from Southern State of Mind, welcome! Wasn’t Heather’s front porch amazing?
The first place I wanted to start freshening things up was in our bedroom. That’s right — today I’m sharing a Spring Master Bedroom refresh.

I decided to go with simple touches of blue and greens after finding these pretty blue sheets one day at Homegoods.
Flowered sheets aren’t usually my thing, but the pattern had such a soft design. And my mind started thinking about all the fun accent pillows I already owned that would compliment them perfectly. So they had to come home with me!
The ‘home’ pillow was in last year’s Spring home tour. And the gingham pillows you might remember from my front porch. Shopping my home is always fun. It can be a nice surprise to see how well items look in different rooms!
For some Spring pop of color, I added a fun bouquet of pink tulips to my night stand. Basically, I am using my ‘tulips’ to kiss winter goodbye! Get it? 😉

To add more Spring green to our master bedroom, I also picked up a few new ferns from a local nursery. I just hope (fingers crossed) that I can keep them alive. I definitely was not born with a green thumb, but this girl is still gonna try.
The side chair was another perfect place for a pop of blue – this time a fun polka dot pillow was my accessory of choice. I love the gingham and polka dot combination. Mixing patterns is always a nice little treat for the eye!
I hope you enjoyed this Spring master bedroom refresh and it inspired you to start decorating your home for Spring!

Laura, I love all your cheerful spring touches! That fern and the metallic pot it’s in – I’m obsessed. Any idea what kind of fern it is? I need to find one! Such a bright pretty pop of fresh greens! It all looks so cozy and lovely!
Thank you, Lisa! I believe the fern on the dresser is a type of maidenhair. I just hope I can keep it alive cause it’s so pretty. 🙂

Hi. What color upholstery is on the bench? Thanks.
It’s a natural linen fabric — like a soft white/cream color. Hope that helps! 🙂
