I totally didn’t mean for the title of this post to rhyme…but it’s pretty cute that it does. But I digress…what I really want to talk to you about is two of my favorite things: organizing and trays. I love to keep my home organized as much as I can. My boys however rarely, have this same goal. But I’ve discovered a secret weapon that keeps everything in it’s place (for the most part) and looks beautiful while doing it. Trays. They can do it all. I have found many creative ways to organize with trays and constantly find myself using them throughout my home to keep things handy and neat. Let me show…
The first place I have trays organizing my life away is my kitchen. For example, I have one for my coffee station. It keeps the coffee grinder, coffee and maker all in one neatly organized space. (If you like that Autumn Essentials printable that’s hanging on my back splash, you can get your own print by clicking here. It’s free!)
I also love to use trays to organize the area around the kitchen sink. Soaps, scrub brushes, spray sanitizer…all in one spot. Add a pretty decorative plant that’s catching some rays by the window and you have a beautiful display.
Another place I love to use a tray in the kitchen is right next to the stove. This tray works perfect for keeping all my cooking essentials and oils right at a hands reach and looks sooooo gorgeous doing it!
I also use this tiered tray to keep of my fresh fruit neat and SEEN. It’s the easiest way to get my boys to eat healthy. “Mom, I’m hungry.” Guess how I solve that problem? 😉
Another room where trays help me out is the bedroom. Most of the trays you have seen so far have been wood, but I love a hi-gloss tray too! I have a white tray on my dresser that keeps some of my favorite jewelry pieces along with perfumes and colognes organized and easily accessible.
Trays are great for the night stand as well. This one has a little fern for a pop of green and some decorative pumpkins. But at night, this tray also stores my iPhone, chap stick and hand lotion.
For my husbands side of the bed, I have placed a more “man”ly style of tray. This is a simple tray that could be used anywhere really but Chris uses it to store his phone and headphones.
Sometimes I also like to use a tray at the foot of my bed too. I organize all my late night reading material…mainly Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel catalogs and Better Homes and Garden magazines. Maybe that’s why I often dream about home decor. 🙂
I even have a few trays in my living room too. This tray may seem unnecessary but I think it totally helps this area on the desk look more organized and tidy.
The beauty about trays too is they are super inexpensive. I like to buy neutral styles so they can be interchanged from room to room. Below is a great selection of my favorite trays at great prices.

I totally agree with the tray concept. Stuff which can be untidy is able to be kept in one place that does not look untidy. If only I remembered to do it!!!!!!!
I love all your tray ideas! Especially the one by your stove. Where can I buy that small silver container next to your oil bottles? Do you store salt in it? I love your attention to detail in all your Christmas decor! Connie from Spokane Washington
Hi Connie! Thank you so much for your sweet comment! And yes, the small silver container is my salt holder. I found mine at Bed, Bath and Beyond — (here’s a link to it: https://rstyle.me/n/dc7g53x8f6) Hope that helps! 🙂
