Make Reading Fun with Reading Eggs
Thanks to Reading Eggs for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are 100% mine.
Books have always been my sons favorite way to enjoy quiet time. When he was a toddler, I kept a box of books in the car to keep him entertained when running around town. Even though he wasn’t actually “reading” he loved looking at the pictures. As he grew, he soon discovered the world of the computer. Wanting to combine his love for computers and reading, I searched for online reading websites. I was introduced to Reading Eggs a few weeks ago and I’m happy to report…my little man loves it!
Reading Eggs is a website for children 3-13 years old that uses fun games, catchy songs, golden eggs and other rewards to make learning how to read fun. As a former kindergarten teacher I know the secret to learning is never let the children know you’re teaching! 😉 That’s why Reading Eggs is such a great website, my son loved “playing” the games and I loved that he was learning.
Of course, the first thing my son did when he signed into Reading Eggs was change his avatar. lol (He totally cracks me up sometimes!)
After he got his avatar stylin’, he was ready to look for some fun games. He discovered a reading game that had a quiz afterwards. (Which he aced by the way!)
My little man really loved playing because he got to earn lots of rewards, which gave him a huge feeling of accomplishment. And you know what that did? It motivated him to keep exploring and learning more!
Would you love for your child to try out Reading Eggs? They can…for FREE!

This is cute. I hope my daughter enjoys reading.
Looks like he was having fun.
I LOVED computer games as a kid and used to play this math game all the time. I think it’s a great way to incorporate fun and learning!
How neat!
This looks like such a great tool for kids. Thanks for sharing.
This looks very neat!
As a teacher, I LOVE this program!
This looks like fun! I bet my friends daughter would love this. She’s always reading on her mom’s Kindle 🙂
I love that this site is for kids as young as 3 years old. My granddaughter is 4 and this is perfect for her!
I’m a huge advocate for reading, so I love that they’ve given kids a way to combine that and technology!
I am a school counselor and work closely with a lot of teachers. This program was recommended to me by one of the best. It is a good way to get reluctant learners fired about! My personal son thought it was great.
Awe, I think my 5 and 6 year old would love this! Bookmarking this so I can come back to it! Thanks so much for sharing!!
