I am super excited to share with you my version of the May 2017 DIH Workshop project today! My glammed-up Jewelry Organizer  turned out so pretty. I did run into one little problem after I finished making this project. I’ll share that little detail with you towards the end of the post…so no jumping ahead and peeking, ok?!

If you love having all your jewelry organized in one place, a simple project like this is perfect. I knew exactly where I wanted to hang my organizer, in my bedroom right between my two glamorous dresser lamps.

So to compliment this space, I decided to glam this organizer up with a little bling of it’s own.

This whole project took me about two hours from start to finish. If I didn’t have to wait for the paint to dry, I could have easily finished in about 30 minutes. So easy right?!

Of course, I gathered all the supplies I needed at Home Depot and while I was there, I had them cut my wood.  (Why not?!) So when I got home, I immediately started painting the wood for the frame. I thought a pretty off white color would be perfect for the elegant, glam look.

When that dried, I installed corner braces on the back to secure the frame.

Then I simply placed the aluminium sheet over the braces and secured with a stapler.

I flipped the frame back over and gave the organizer a one time sanding just to smooth out any brush strokes in the paint. The last step was to install my three knobs on the bottom and my two upper side hooks. I then easily added a little picture hanger on the back and that’s all there is to this simple project!

I hung it on my bedroom wall and then started organizing all my jewelry. Want to know the only problem I ran into with this project? Apparently, I need more jewelry!
