One of my favorite traditions about the holidays are those iconic Christmas cards. It’s always fun to see new pictures of family and how much everyone has grown!
But I think I’m not alone here when I say getting those family photos can often be a challenge. First comes the selecting of the coordinating outfits. Then picking the location and finding a fantastic photographer. After all that is lined up, then comes the hoping and praying. You know, that everyone can work together to catch (at least one) pictures with nice smiles, open eyes and everyone looking in the same direction. It sounds easy, but you and I know the struggle is real.
But every year we do it! Cause we all know the reward will be a loved keepsake for years to come. Christmas cards lock in a treasured moment of time — forever. And this year we were able to capture our family photos on the San Diego beach — which is even more rare for us! So you better believe this Mom is making some fabulous holiday cards. 🙂
This year I made all of my holiday Christmas cards with Vistaprint. They are so affordable and have a great selection of photo gifts I could make for family members as well. So it was a totally win/win!

And the selection of holiday cards at Vistaprint is amazing. When I laid eyes on their gold foil cards, I immediately knew it was the style I wanted for this year. This card had the perfect layout to compliment our beach background. And the back featured three additional spots for more photos. Love it!
It’s all those little details that really make your card unique and save time too! Rounded corners, printed return address, matching envelopes and more. I even added some little festive circle stickers on the backs of the sealed envelopes. Just one more special holiday touch!
Custom Photo Gift Ideas
Chris and I have family that lives near and far away. So I wanted to make photo gifts that are easy to send to them. I’m pretty sure all these gifts are going to bring joy and a few smiles to their faces. Wall calendars are always popular for the new year. Cold winter nights call for warm cups of tea, so a couple photo mugs made the list. And a request for a family photo was granted with a surprise canvas print.
I also made a couple of Christmas gifts for the boys as well. There’s two photo pillows designed by Sebastian’s sketches. Britton loves to do puzzles, so I had to sneak one of those in too. And since we do lots of computer time with online homeschooling, I wanted to give them new custom mouse pads also!
Wall Calendars
The grandparents are always thrilled to get new calendars every year. So I love to customize them with pictures of the boys. You can take up to 50% off your holiday cards and wall calendars with the code MOMSHOLIDAY.
Photo Mugs
Who doesn’t want to start their day with these cuties smiling right back at ya?! Mugs make a great gift! And I love how you can personalize them with eight color options for the handle and interior of the mug. I went with blue because it complimented the boys outfits and the ocean. 🙂
Oh! And another great gift idea is personalized gift bags! I designed these red Merry Christmas bags and then just added a nice pop of pretty tissue paper. How’s that for some super fast wrapping?!
Pillows
My boys’ pillows was an extra fun gift to make this year because I had to be sneaky. Sebastian and Britton love the Sonic characters. So much in fact, that Sebastian has spent hours drawing them on his computer. So I knew that if I could get these treasured sketches onto a pillow, I’d win the mom-of-the-year award. Boom!
I wanted to take their picture with the pillows, so this Christmas gift came early. Totally worth it!
Photo Canvas
Our trip to San Diego was our first big vacation as a family of four, so I wanted to capture that special moment in a canvas print. Now every time I walk into our bedroom it’s a lovely reminder of a beautiful time together.
These are just a few of the photo gifts I chose to create. But Vistaprint has a ton more ideas to inspire you. So get your holiday gifts made now and avoid the last minute shopping. Go Make More Merry and get up to 50% off your Vistaprint order with the code MOMSHOLIDAY!
