Easy Christmas Decorating
Thank you to Hallmark Gold Crown for sponsoring today’s post!
Now that Thanksgiving is officially over, it’s time to deck the halls! I have to confess I had some – not all – decorations up yesterday. I actually put up my Christmas tree on Thanksgiving. To my defense it was snowing and Christmas music was playing…it was the perfect backdrop and I couldn’t resist! There’s no ornaments on it so I still have lots to do!
The other place I already have decorated is my front door. It’s kinda hard to hang Christmas lights on the house by myself with a baby. But the front door was easy enough to do during naps.
These Christmas decorations may seem a little complicated to put together but I promise you, it was super easy. I started with my wreath…
Some how our old Christmas wreath did not make it to our new home. So I went and bought a plain wreath and jazzed it up with some battery operated lights, a few ornaments and pretty red bow.
Then it was time for some mini trees…
I have always wanted to dress up my front door with mini Christmas trees but my doorway was too small. Well…our new home has a big porch for me to go decorating crazy! 😉 I added a few ornaments to these trees to get them holiday ready. I also included the cutest red lantern from Hallmark. It’s battery operated (with a timer) so I just set it and it comes on for about 5 hours. It was so cute…I had to get two!
Once the mini trees were in place I stepped back and took a look. It was simple but pretty. Perfect!
I loved how the whole look came together but there was still something missing…snow!
I actually got real snow on Thanksgiving which was awesome!
I even made you a little video to show you how easy it was to decorate my front door for Christmas. Check it out!
Love the beautiful yet simple decorations! Thank you for sharing with us at Snickerdoodle Sunday! Pinning to share.

Thank you so much for sharing, Laurie! Merry Christmas!
Very beautiful!! Love your front porch!! If I may ask, how did you make it snow in your picture, that is cool! Thank you.
Thanks, Cheryl! I found the snow effect at pho.to.com. Here is the link: http://funny.pho.to/winter-frames-effects/
Thank you Laura, going to check it out!
This looks beautiful. I also invested in some of the mini trees for my front door this year, but unfortunately I’ve had a terrible time with them falling over from the strong winds. I really like the red bow on your wreath, it’s pretty 🙂
Thanks Cara! Luckily my trees are pretty close to the house. But we haven’t had any strong winds yet either. They could end up flying all over the neighborhood! 😉
This looks so pretty! Thanks so much for sharing with us at Share The Wealth Sunday!
