Remove harsh grim fast and learn how to keep clean floors with little to no effort!
Let’s face it….I’m totally outnumbered. Between two boys and a dog, maintaining clean floors was challenging. Someone is always dragging something dirty into our home and onto our floors. One of my biggest pet peeves is walking barefoot into my kitchen and stepping on little bits of dirt or grim — I hate that feeling.
But as a busy mom, there’s no way I can whip out a mop and bucket every time I feel that grim. So instead, I’ve come up with a solution. It’s the best way I’ve found to clean my floors and keep them cleaner for longer!
This solution is easy to do, easy to maintain and most importantly — keeps that grim away from my feet!
The Best Way To Clean Floors
To get clean floors, I use the Bona Premium Spray Mop with their Floor Cleaner. This totally beats pulling out a mop and bucket… for sure!
All I have to do is attach the mop head to the bottom of the mop, spray a few sprays with the trigger on the handle and mop away. So easy. Not only do my floors get super clean fast, but the solution is fast-drying and leaves no residue! The great thing about this cleaner too is it cleans all floor surfaces- not just hardwood. So you ‘show the love’ to laminate floors like mine, or tile and stone. (Be sure to visit the Bona website and sign up for a chance to receive coupons and seasonal offerings!)
To keep my floors clean, I also sweep once a day. Wait! I know what you’re thinking….sweep everyday?! To stay ahead of the dirt and grim, I use a cordless stick vacuum. It’s tiny and light weight enough to easily whip around the floors quickly. But it’s also powerful enough to pick up all the fine hair, crumbs and dirt. This daily task takes me a total of like five minutes. But it is a must to do at least once a day! Sometimes depending on how much the boys play outside that day, I may do it twice in one day.
And that’s my two-step solution for the best way to clean floors. A little vacuum every day and a good mop once a week. It’s a routine that is simple enough for me to handle on my busiest schedule and my floors have never looked so clean!

Just curious what stuck vac you use. I have a dirt devil but it really doesn’t pick up everything.
Renee, I use a black and decker ( here’s the aff link: https://amzn.to/2ENz3b6 ) and it’s worked great for years! I love the two-in-one feature. 🙂 Hope that helps!
