The Best Places to Buy Affordable Pillows
A round up of the best places to buy affordable pillows to decorate your home. These pillows won’t break the bank and will keep your home looking great!
I think I’ve confessed this once before but if not, here we go. I’m a pillow addict! I love looking at them, shopping for them, even just squeezing ’em! I can’t get enough. But as well all know, pillows are not necessarily cheap. And the symmetry lover in me usually has to buy two at a time. Ugh! So I know where to buy affordable pillows that have fantastic quality. And today I’m sharing all my best pillow shopping secrets – including how to make cheaper pillows look more expensive!
Where I Shop for Affordable Pillows from $10-50
$10 or Less Pillows
Alright, the best place to find pillows for $10 or less is H&M and Amazon.
Of course, all these pillows you see here are just the pillow covers. Which is absolutely fine for me because I already have way to many pillow inserts! Often at H&M the pillow cover can be as low as $5.99. I’ve ordered pillows from H&M for years and have never been disappointed.
This price point is where I like to play with trendy patterns or styles. I figure if I don’t like it in few months, no worries cause I only spent around $10 bucks! (click on any below image to shop)
$25 or Less Pillows
For just $15 more, you can shop a few more stores for a bigger selection of pillows. When I’m looking for affordable pillows at this price point I will often search Target, World Market and Etsy. The really great thing about Etsy is all the reviews and feedback. I read a ton before I buy. 🙂 (click on any image below to shop)
$50 or Less Pillows
So when I want to stay under $50 or less for a pillow, I’ll look at places like CB2, Crate and Barrel, and Potterybarn. Of course, I’m always looking for a good sale when shopping these stores and I often find them!
In this price point category, I’m usually going to buy more neutral/solid colored pillows that can easily transition with the seasons or different patterns. Basically, I’m starting to look for more investment pieces that I’ll want to use for a couple of years.
Want to splurge just a little? $75 or Less Pillows
And every now and then I splurge! And when I do, I’m usually over at McGee and Co or Serena and Lily. Almost every pillow style they have, I want. So sometimes it’s hard to just pick one. 🙂
So how do I make my affordable pillows look like expensive designer pillows?
It’s all about the inserts. I always stuff my affordable pillows with inserts one size bigger. So for an 18 x 18 pillow cover, I would use a 20″ pillow insert. Flimsy pillow inserts is what can often make pillows look cheap. The inserts that I like the best are from Crate and Barrel. The down are my favorite but the down-alternative are super nice too!
Hopefully you found some great places to shop for all your pillows. Happy pillow shopping and don’t forget to PIN this for later!
