21 Days To A Clean Organized Home: Day 2–Tupperware Organization

|
I have a confession….my Tupperware cabinet has been a disaster for some time.

Do you want to know how I would put away my Tupperware? ( I can’t believe I am telling you this!!) I would open the cabinet for a brief  two seconds and chuck it in, hoping that nothing would tumble out at the same time. Please tell me that I am not the only one guilty of this?

So this is what my Tupperware cabinet looked like before.

I pulled everything out of the cabinets and started sorting. I placed all the canning jars into boxes.

I am going to move their location to the garage. I then sorted the remaining items matching all lids to containers.

I discarded all items that were missing mates, discolored and warped.  I then wanted to give the cabinet a good cleaning with my favorite friend Mrs. Meyers.

Next step was placing all the items back in…this time organized.

Wow!! Doesn’t that look much better?

I love my new glass containers that my mother-in-law gave me for Christmas. I am trying to get away from using Tupperware all together. So this is a step in the right direction.

The basket on the left side holds all of the Tupperware lids. And the basket on the left holds all my Tupperware containers. And I didn’t spend a dime on the baskets because I already had them in my pantry. I will be re-organizing that area soon too!

I placed some large Tupperware containers on the bottom along with some Tupperware pitchers.

I am so happy with my new cabinet. I can actually open the doors without Tupperware landing on my toes!

So now, its your turn. Remember to take pictures before you begin. The steps are to remove, examine, place in correct bags or boxes, clean, then place back in-this time organized. Then step back and enjoy your organized Tupperware cabinet!

P.S.S. Sorry. I think I said the word Tupperware about 500 times!! 🙂

  1. Why did it never occur to me to store containers in a basket?? We have limited cabinet space and containers are at the very top of one cabinet. Grabbing a basket and digging would be much easier than trying to hunt for a bowl and lid I can hardly reach!

  2. I love this post. No, you are not the only one with this problem! I absolutely hate my tupperware cupboard. But thanks to you, I finally have a solution!
