21 Days To A Clean Organized Home: Day 14 — A Peek Under The Sink
Congratulations!! We are at the two week mark! I hope the past few weeks has helped to encourage you to tackle your own home. For me, every time I see one of my newly organized spaces like the oven or my utensil drawer, it’s a big surprise! And I instantly smile. Now, is my home super clean from top to bottom? Oh…no. Not even close. But, I am making progress and that encourages me to keep going. We can do this!
Today, I thought we could focus on the cabinet under the kitchen sink. I have needed to reorganize this area for awhile. I get in a bad habit of throwing tons of old hand soaps and candles under there. So no more…
I pulled everything out and removed the cabinet liner and I was left with this…
Yea…I know, pretty dirty. I grabbed the vacuum first, then I sprayed some disinfectant and wiped down the area.
Next, I threw out all old hand soaps and then placed a new cabinet liner down. And now, I would like to welcome you to the new organized space…
Not bad, huh? On the left I store my trash can and then I put all my cleaners on a turntable. It takes up less space then before and I can easily grab any item fast. What’s not to like about that?! 🙂
On the right side I keep dishwasher soap and floor cleaner. I also hung my cleaning brush on a stick up plastic hook.
This space is soooo much better now. It’s less cluttered, clean and organized. Me likey! 🙂
This project only took me 30 minutes from start to finish. I know, because I timed myself. 🙂
So, now it’s time for you to take a peak under your sink. Does it need some TLC? Do you have any tricks to keep your things organized?
i saw someone use a small tension rod to hang their spray cleaners under the sink and wondered if you had ever tried that? not sure how practical it is or if it would just be annoying w/ all those dangling bottles : )
I have metal wire baskets under the sink to hold cleaners and keep things organized. We recently had a small leak under the kitchen sink, and I realized how wonderful my method of organization really was. NOTHING got wet, except the box of trash bags. When my husband finished the repair, he simply wiped under each basket and put things back in place. So easy!
just found your site…loving all your tips and before/after pics!! I’m ready to get started!!!! Thx!
