The tape acted as my guide to keep all the letters level as I stenciled. Once I had the text centered from top to bottom, I had to decide on the placement from left to right.
Using my painter's tape again, I placed two strips from the edge of the doormat towards the center. Since the tape is two inches wide — this also measured out to be four inches wide total.
After the letters were all stenciled, it was time to paint them in. This was probably the absolute easiest part of the whole project. My only goal here was to just stay inside the lines.
