Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Place a 12-inch ovenproof skillet, preferably a cast-iron skillet in the oven to warm it.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, flour, vanilla, and salt until smooth. In a separate small bowl, toss the pears with the sugar and cinnamon.
Carefully remove the preheated hot skillet from the oven and add the butter, swirling until the better melts.
