Supplies Needed: 2x2 boards, mdf, molding, stud finder, caulking, level, Kreg Jig, drill, screws and nail gun

Step 1: Find studs and mark, then cut 2x2 boards to fit gap and screw into ceiling and cabinet.

Step 2: Mark on the front of the cabinets where the 2x2's are located with painters tape.

Step 3: Install the mdf on top of cabinets. Be sure to find cabinet seams so mdf lines match up. Note my mistake...

Step 4: Nail up mdf using painter tape markers to guide nail placement. Then add molding to finish the look.

Step 5: Caulk. It's your friend - and will hide all types of imperfections. Finally finish with primer and paint.
