The first step is to flip the ottoman upside down and remove the existing rubber feet. Mine were attached with wood screws.

Start By Removing Any Existing Feet

I dug around in my tools and decided to use a 7/25 bit instead. I marked the center of the corner and drilled into the supporting wood.

Drill New Feet Hole

To make this stain process as easy as possible, I grabbed a cardboard box from the garage. I then proceeded to stick each foot into the sides of the box thus creating a drying area for the stained feet.

Stain Wood Bun Feet

After I allowed the stain to dry for about 3 hours, it was time to give each one a quick coat of polyurethane. So I did that about three-four times and then allowed them to dry overnight.

Apply A Clear Coat To Feet

And then stand back, and see how nice it looks to save almost a $1000 on a designer footed cube ottoman!
