Review of the 2016 Mazda CX-5

I have to confess two things. One, I love red vehicles. And two, I love SUV’s. Combine those things and I’m one happy lady. Those are just two of the many reasons I loved driving the new, as in 29 miles on the odometer NEW, 2016 Mazda CX-5.

This SUV has all the features you are looking for; beautiful design, quality, comfortable ride and fantastic safety performance. Of course, the first thing I always have to play with in a new vehicle is the touch-screen display. With HD Radio and Pandora…this lady is set in the tunes department.

We even had a wonderful opportunity to drive this SUV in the Colorado Rockies. My husbands family got together a few weeks ago for a fun skiing vacation in Keystone, CO. I think you can tell my oldest son really enjoyed hitting the slopes with his younger cousins! (he’s in the red coat)

The CX-5 handled beautiful all the way through the mountain drive. With safety features like Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Traction Control System (TCS) and the Blind Spot Monitoring System I felt completely safe and comfortable the whole trip.

Speaking of comfort, the leather-trimmed seats had great lumbar support. Both my husband and I were really impressed.

The back seats were roomy enough for the boys. The fold down center is always great for little man to place his drinks.

The 40/20/40 dual split folding rear seatback is also so convenient for transporting large items…like skis. Plus there was plenty of room back here for our suitcases and all the stuff you have to keep up with when you have a baby. Moms….you know what I’m talking about. 😉

Overall we really enjoyed our week with the 2016 Mazda CX-5. This one was really hard to give back. Until we meet again CX-5….
