Driving around town last week in this shiny blue 2016 Kia Optima SX was so much fun. For some weird reason I kept forgetting items and had to make extra trips. Crazy, Laura! 😉
First off, I have to say this is not your average size midsize sedan! I was pleasantly surprised on how much room is in the Kia Optima. The first comment of everyone who sat or rode in this car was…”This is so roomy.” My true test is how much room I have to tilt the driver seat back and not hit baby Britton’s car seat.
Look at that…we never even touched. They’re still inches away from each other. (Ignore the twisted canopy on the car seat. For some reason, Britton likes to see how he can destroy it.)
Another feature I really liked in this car was the turbo! If you ever have the option…I highly recommend getting it. 😉
Of course this car comes with the latest technology as well. It has advanced driver-aid including Autonomous Emergency Braking, Advanced Smart Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, and Blind-Spot Detection with Rear Cross Traffic Alert. I tested out the Rear Cross Traffic Alert at Best Buy. I was trying to back out of our parking spot but people kept walking behind the car. I really like all the alerts though because an extra set of ‘eyes’ means a safer driver.
My son always is a big fan of the sunroofs and this car had a panoramic one. SWEET!
That’s right…let’s here the ohhh and ahhh’s! Britton even thought those were way cool. He has great taste.
And Sebastian’s other favorite was the satellite radio. “I just love being able to read all the names of the songs. Mom, I think we need this car so I can do that everyday.” He’s an easy sell. 😉
Everyone fell in love with something on this car. The radio for my oldest son, the sunroof for my youngest, the roomy seats for my hubby and that way-to-go turbo for me…it was a winner with our family!
Disclosure: I was provided with a 2016 Kia Optima SX for a week to review. All thoughts and opinions are my own of course. 😉
