Master Bedroom Fall Home Tour 2018
Create a cozy fall master bedroom by adding just a few simple elements to your decor.
Since fall is my most favorite season, I admit that I can get a little giddy when the time comes to add fall decor to our home. And since the master bedroom is a space we naturally like to make comfy and cozy, it’s so easy to incorporate the new fall season into this room.
Today, I’m honored to join my friend, Krista from the Happy Housie and so many other talented bloggers for a fall edition of Seasonal Simplicity. If you are hopping over from Love Create Celebrate, welcome! I’m so glad you are here to tour our home. Today, I am sharing how my master bedroom decor instantly transitioned into the fall season by incorporating just three simple changes to the space.
Start the with the pillows.
The first thing I change when transitioning seasonal decor in the bedroom is the pillows. This year I wanted to a add lots of texture and softness to our bed. I switched out my square euro pillows with these gray scrunched covers. Then in front of those I added a couple of black velvet pillows. I just love the feel of velvet. I guess I’m kinda like George from Seinfeld. Remember his velvet sweatsuit? 😉
And just because I love the softness and coziness of faux fur, I added one more fun pillow to my upholstered foot bench.

Add a throw for cooler nights.
The nights are already getting cooler here in Colorado — like around the 50’s. So we often open all the windows at night and just let the cool, fresh air circulate throughout the house while we sleep. But if it gets a little too cool, it’s nice to just have a soft throw within reach to layer on the bed.
Finally, switch out the green.
I love having fresh flowers on my nightstand during the spring and summer months. But in the fall and throughout the winter months I like to go more with green plants or stems.
This year, I added a simple vase of eucalyptus stems. It adds a nice pop of green to the corner of the room and it just seems more fitting for the fall season.

I’m all about the eucalyptus this fall, as you may have noticed in my kitchen and dining room tour (which I shared last week). Fresh or faux, I love it all!
And that’s it, three easy ways to make the bedroom instantly feel more fall-like without a ton of effort or expense!

Maybe I’m just tired from an early morning, but I seriously want to hop into that cozy looking bed! I need to give our bedroom a fall warm-up, I think! Glad to have you on this hop, Laura!
We are doing a complete teardown and remodel in our spare bedroom. It’s a bit intimidating! We wanted to do it ourselves, but my husband dislikes carpentry work and I can’t coordinate to save my life! Hubby’s dislike for carpentry is severely slowing the project! To be honest, I wish I had your decorating skills! Lovely, just lovely!
Wow, Laura, I’m loving your simple Fall touches! This is just the coziest space! xoxo
Your room is so cozy for Fall! Im so glad I could join in on this fun hop! Happy Fall
Love your decor idea .. thank you for sharing. Just 1 stupid questions: how do you keep up with cleaning (especially on top of furniture from those pesky dust)? I am so tired chasing them down, they collect dust so fast!!!
