Improving Me in 2013: Day 9 {The Footwear}

| |
These shoes were made for walking (and for stylin’).
If you really love footwear, this may be your favorite post yet. 🙂

Time to talk shoes!
Let me introduce you to six of my favorite friends…

Let’s talk details, shall we?

-Flat Boots {Knee-high Style}
Knee-high styles work well with skirts, dresses and jeans

-Nude Pump
Goes with many outfits and is pretty much a fashion must

-Black Flat
The go with everything shoe.

-Colorful Ballet Flat {Red}
 A very practical shoe, just as comfortable as a sneaker but looks nicer

We are not using your running/workout shoes here, a real sneaker

-Cheetah Print Flats
I love a cheetah print flat, it’s actually a very versatile style of shoe with a little added fun thrown in 🙂

You may have noticed that I have lots of flats listed.
Personally, I think flats are perfect for the woman on the go.
They are comfortable, look nice and are usually very affordable.

The flat riding boots are a little different.
You may love them and already have a pair or
have always wanted a pair but didn’t think you could pull them off.

Well, I am here to tell you…you can!
Riding boots go with many different outfits.
Here are a few examples…

Emily at Jones Design Company has paired riding boots with jeans.

 Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy is a great example of pairing them with a dress
and a pair of tights. Simple but lovely.

 I promise you,
anyone can wear riding boots no matter what your size, shape or even age!

They are an investment, so I suggest doing some research before buying.
Try on lots of different styles and colors.
 And when you do finally buy the pair you love, break them in at home.
 Try them with out with many different outfits and see if you like the look.

Once you’ve found your favorite,
they will become your go-to shoes in the fall and winter
and you’ll probably wonder how you ever lived without them!
Keeping true to my motto: you’ll never know until you try. 🙂

We will explore my favorite accessories tomorrow.

Improving Me Assignment For Day 9:

1 -Check your wardrobe for the selected shoes

2 -Are your shoes in good condition, do they need to be replaced

3 -Note what is missing and what you would like to add
