Improving Me in 2013: Day 4 {Check It. I’m Stylin’!}

| |
Let’s talk style and how to find yours!

Discovering your own style begins with knowing what you like
and what looks good on you.
I’m sure you have a favorite go-to outfit that is what
you wear when you definitely want to look good!

Let’s take a little closer look at the special outfit.
Why do you like it so much?
Is it a crisp and tailored look or soft and cozy?
What color is it? Does it flatter your complexion?

I have found a great way to recognize my own style is
to pin outfits that I like on Pinterest.
Don’t put a lot of thought into it, if you like it pin it.
After you pin some outfits you may start to notice a pattern like I did.
I like to layer. I like mostly solids in neutral colors.
I love big bags and pretty scarfs.
Oh, and apparently I really like boots and flats!
Once you recognize what you like,
it’s just as important to know what you don’t like!
I am willing to bet there are items hanging in your closet
that you have never worn. Never.
Maybe even still have the tags on. (Don’t worry, no one has to know.)

Was the item bought in the high of a great sale?
Maybe a trendy item? A peer pressure item? (I’m totally guilty of that!)
An item you will wear when you lose those last 10 pounds?

I have dresses in my closet that literally just hang there.
I want to be that cute summer dress lady…

 but it’s just not me.
So I should save my money and my closet space
for items I know I will really wear.

If you would like to start your own board on Pinterest and need an invite,
let me know in the comments with your email address
and I will be more than happy to email you an invitation.

If you already pin outfits, I invite you to share a link in
the comments to your style/wardrobe board to inspire and help others.

Improving Me Assignment For Day 4:
